glad I waited a while before reviewing... upon receipt of items, I was initially pretty pleased. They looked quite nice, and felt like good quality. That being said, it all went downhill VERY quickly from there. The next morning, my daughter took a bowl from cupboard, and yelped. Apparently there was a chip on the rim, and when she picked up the bowl, it left what she said felt like a papercut on her finger. The chip wasn't obvious when I removed them from the box, but she was the first person to USE the bowl. (I rinsed them in hot water upon arrival, allowed them to air dry on counter, placed them myself into the cupboard); nobody else even handled them until she picked it up. We decided upon further expection to throw the bowl out. It would have cracked the first time washed.

The next disaster was my heating a bowl of quinoa. I placed it in microwave for 25 seconds! At 18, I heard a pop, and the bowl had broken in half. The food was spilled on the turntable in microwave. We've lost 5 bowls since then, to VERY light use, and NO "mishandling" ... We've no young children in the house; not a single bowl has been dropped or anything you would expect. It seems every time we try to use them, we see another casualty. It's very disappointing; I bought them only a few months ago. The colored set I was trying to replace has been in my cupboard since my oldest kids were toddlers. They're 26 and 24 years old now. I simply wanted to change it up. My mistake. Quality lacking.

Bowls & Cats

My vet does not think plastic bowls are good for cats. Cats, he says, can get contact dermatitis from plastic. So, we use human dining quality bowls for our furry masters. We have an elderly cat and I noticed his eyesight is not as sharp as it was. I decided, after visiting someone who fed and watered their even older cat with large glass bowls, to give it a try. Yup, the cats like the glass cereal bowls. So, now my cats use these glass bowls for dry food and lots of water. For wet food, they have assorted colorful FiestaWare fruit bowls. They do not appear to prefer one color over another so long as the bowl has fresh wet food in it. :-D

Good replacement for lost bowls, but quality control is questionable.

Needed to replace ones of the same design that had been slowly lost over the years from breakage. One of the 12 i received was deformed and oblong. i didn't notice the defect immediately until I'd already thrown out the box, but this shouldn't have been able to get through any decent quality control, so keep that in mind and check each bowl carefully when you receive it.

Great clear bowls

Not a whole lot to say, they're simple clear glasses. I'm not sure why I needed 12 of them, but it's nice when I feel like being really lazy and not wash dishes for a week. They have a good weight to them. Like I said, there isn't really much to say. They're bowls, you can use them for things you would use a bowl for.

Just purchased these recently. As I was eating cereal yesterday something stabbed me in the tongue. Blood everywhere. It was a very thin part of the rim --- really scared me. Glad I didn't swallow it. I will throw all of these away as I've already disposed of the box they came in. However, I'm also going to call Amazon.

Chips ridiculously easily and they are not cheap! I am a very careful hand washer. I chipped the first one when I was stacking them on the counter by barely clinking two together. I don't even know how the 2nd one chipped but I found out because it cut my finger as I was washing it. 2 in the first week is totally unacceptable. I have had other glass bowl sets for years and didn't chip 1.

I am housesitting for a friend on a missionary trip. I stacked two of her glass bowls on top of each other. They were old and they stuck together. I tried everything that google offered and decided to just replace them as close as possible. These bowls came in and I left her four and kept the rest. I always put coffee filters in between my glass dishes and these fit together perfectly. You will not be disappointed.

These are the bowls I was looking for it for a while. Good quality for the price. I am only a little unhappy with the way it was packed. I think it could have used a little more padding and notto put the bowls box in such a loose big box. Other than that, I totally recommend this pack.

I bought these to replace the bowls that have gradually disappeared from my cabinets. I had a full set of 12 plates & bowls in this design and somehow I was down to a mere 3 bowls. How does that happen? Teenagers. That's how.

I'm glad I was able to find a large set of the bowls on their own, and at such a great price!

Perfect Bowls - Microwave Safe

First of all I was completely annoyed when I received these bowls and there was no indication if they were safe to put in the microwave or not (maybe there was a small paper in the box but I didn't see it). After being an idiot and not checking the reviews to see if anyone else had tested them in the microwave, I decided to take a shot and microwave some soup in one of the bowls and found that they hold up wonderfully, they also do not heat up intensely like most glass tableware while the soup was piping hot.

Like other reviewers have stated, these do look a lot bigger in the picture than they actually are but for me that was a bonus since I was originally ambivalent about ordering such weirdly deep bowls. Measure 6 inches with your fingers and they actually are that size. They are shallower than what you expect from the picture but still hold a lot and look great on a table setting; I've heated up an entire can of soup in one of these bowls. They also are super sturdy and the glass is thick but not too thick so I'm pretty sure if you dropped one that it would have a decent chance of surviving the fall. The price is great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone.
