Wine-Opoly Board Game

Product Description

Pop the cork off any gathering with Wineopoly! Players buy favorite wines, collect bunches of grapes and trade them in for decanters. Add import taxes and serving faux pas and it becomes a little more difficult and a lot more fun. Learn while you play. Each deed back contains wine descriptors and fun facts about each wine. It's all fun and games until you're sent to the Wine Cellar to age--then you're out of the game for three turns. So choose your token (wine bottle, cork, wine glass, cheese, grapes, or a carafe) and advance to Cheers. Who knows' You may be elected president of the wine club or you may be penalized for serving obtrusively malodorous cheese.

Very fun game! I purchased this game for my friends 23rd birthday! We had a blast the pieces and board itself are very well made. This game offers the classic monopoly gameplay with a wine twist. Questions can be challenging if your not a wine enthusiast yourself but all in all a very fun and entertaining game to play as a group!

Arrived on time and in condition promised. The game is a clear knock off of monopoly but it's kind of wonky to play with the rules it has laid out and the wines aren't actually from the regions it states so for true wine snobs you're kind of like uhh but that's not true. However, with only so many spaces on the board and so many wine regions in the world I recognize you can't have everything be super accurate.

Pretty good adaption of monopoly. The chance and community chest cards are unique and on the back of the property cards, they have facts about wine!

Purchased this item for Christmas for my dad, who has everything already but loves wine. We played one round and it lasted about 12 hours, but there was never a dull moment! Our cheeks were hurting from laughing! This game is SO much fun! It's very similar to monopoly but the wine theme just gives it a fun-light hearted experience. I highly recommend this game!

My playing pieces weren't as pictured. It looks like bottle shaped pieces in the picture, but mine were just something rectangle. But, bought for an avid wine drinker and she loved the game! The board itself and the cards are nice.

Great game for beginner wine lovers

We discovered this game when we were invited to dinner by our friends. We had so much fun playing we decided to get one ourselves. The game is pretty much like that of Monopoly but instead of chance cards and community chest, you get red and white wine cards. The board has names of the different, well-known varietals and in place of railroads, more well-known wine countries are used. The plus for me was the fun facts found at the back of the "deed" cards - it tells you how to pronounce the name of the varietal, where it is usually found...etc.

Have had one outing with friends at a winery playing the game. Enjyed it. Of course the board and money got baptized with wine! Will be developing more questons for the game to make it a bit more edgy.
