BEWARE! 2-3 year old reviews ABOUT SOME OTHER PRODUCT.
by David B. (1 out of 5 stars)
April 14, 2019

All these glowing, cheerleader reviews and not a single mention of the sub-standard manufacturing as EVERY EDGE ON EVERY PIECE IS UNFINISHED by even the most 3rd-world manufacturing standards! Either this company is shipping a much lower quality product or the purchasers from 2-3 years ago left fake reviews!
Every single edge on every piece of this set is a continuous stainless steel burr and a deep gash on hands or arms waiting to happen whether in cooking or cleaning.
I bought this thing so my kids could help preparing and cooking main courses, I wouldn't even let them handle this thing taking it out of the dishwasher much less in use.
There really is no excuse to sell a product that is manufactured so poorly that the steel can't be de-burred and smoothed while it's being cut and formed. Just a manufacturer and seller that don't care if customers are hurt. SHAMEFUL!
I'm getting my money back!

Love, Love Love this!! Well made, easy to use, Best Roasted Chicken ever, and easy clean up
by J Peeples (5 out of 5 stars)
November 20, 2017

This was life changing for me. I am a foodie and always looking for the ultimate in food experience. I bought one, used it on my grill with an organic free range chicken stuck on it, Filled the can with white wine, vermouth, garlic cloves and herbs. It was awesome!! I pour the leftover juice over the chicken after I slice it up. It is the best ever roasted chicken. No messy pans or smoking oven to deal with. Just toss the parts into the dishwasher for easy clean up. Just bought 7 of these for Christmas presents. Who doesn't want friends to have life changing roasted chicken experience ?:)

P.S I raost on 4 burner bbq, turn on the outside burners, get the temp to 350-400 and 45 minutes to an hour later, It is delicious.

Beer Can Chicken Taken to the Next Level
by WMC (5 out of 5 stars)
January 12, 2016

This is an outstanding product! The chicken sits stably on the stand. The handles make the assmbly very easy to place into the grill cavity and remove at the end of cooking. The catch pan seems small, but II was able to pour off 3/4 cup of roasting juices from a chicken by tipping it over a bowl. Two of these units will fit side by side in the center of a standard 22 inch Weber kettle set up for indirect cooking. It is very easy to clean, and I appreciate not having to deal with a beer can with burnt paint. The chicken pictured was roasted at 375º for 75 minutes until the thigh meat was 170º in a Weber kettle using briquettes and wine barrel staves as smoking wood. It was seasoned with salt and pepper. The can was filled to 3/4 with cheap beer (the rest went into the sauce). The meat was extraordinarily tender and juicy, even though the white meat was well over 160º.

Fantastic BBQ Tool
by Randall (5 out of 5 stars)

Being a BBQ addict when I saw this on another sites video I had to have one and when it was less than half the price on amazon it was ordered.

First thing that I noticed was a quality finish and practical design that will support the bird without tipping or sliding and a locking lid on the fluid chamber so you wont be digging in the cavity for the lid when you are done. On the first use a 6lb+ bird was rubbed with a citrus garlic rub and the can was filled with beer ,garlic, Italian seasoning and some lemon grass this was heated slightly since it was going into a cold bird and put in a BBQ at 275 till done. The results were fantastic, moist and flavor full the support given the chicken for moving or carving great and the surprise was cleanup no sticking or scrubbing just a soak and brush.

Since I do most of the cooking there are not a lot of comments anymore but with this even the kids noticed a difference the results are worth the sacrifice of a good beer it makes a normal chicken that can compare to a brine treated bird without all the work

Awesome!

This product is of very high quality. I have used it once already and plan on making more beer can chickens this summer as it is my wife's grill favorite. The Product solves several problems, keeping the bird upright, making it easy to handle, allowing any liquid to be used in the cup, a tray to catch messy greasy chicken fat and super easy clean up. The unit disassembles into four pieces so that you can throw them all into the dishwasher for cleaning. The only thing I'd change is to make the grease catch tray a little deeper to hold more rendered fat. If you use, suggest putting a pan or foil under it to catch any spill over, although I must admit our bird was HUGE, almost 8 pounds. Your mileage may vary.

This tray will be getting used a lot! Great deal and very sturdy

Goes in dishwasher so cleaning was easy. (Hooray!) I love that it comes with a canister to use different moisture bases. I'm betting that some chicken broth in it would taste great for those who aren't sold on the idea of using beer can. Standard 12 oz can fits easily and perfectly. The frame was very sturdy and did not tip. The base tray is solid and not flimsy, no holes so could use in the oven too without drips. Handles are well attached. Carried my chicken on it without feeling like it was going to topple or lose it.

We used a charcoal cooker and the temperature was way too high for the first 30-40 minutes of cooking until it settled down, but our bird was still delicious and moist and perfect.

Tip: if your chickens wings aren't holding tight to it's body, just use a skewer through the chicken to hold them in place.

We have the deep kitchen drawers that are coming back into style and it fits in the drawer easily. Also tested if it fits in a standard drawer and it does.

Best chicken on my grill
by Carl S. Hyde (5 out of 5 stars)

Got it as a Fathers Day gift. Used it on Fathers Day. Make sure you have the chicken and the can of beer at room temperature when you set it up to cook. I recommend you drink half the beer while it is still cold then let the rest warm up before cooking the chicken. I had my half a can for breakfast. I used a small onion to cap off the neck hole. This holds the steam in the chicken. I cooked it on my Traeger pellet smoker at 350 for the first 45 minutes then cranked it up to 425 for the last 20 minutes to crisp the skin. I had to remove the rack as I bought a large chicken and couldn't close the grill lid all the way. Lesson there is buy whole fryers and not larger chickens. The breast was moist, tender and juicy and the skin a golden brown. There were no leftovers which greatly upset the dog. I just ordered a second one so that I can have chicken salad the next day.

Beer Can Chicken Doesn't Work
by Michael R. Jeffers (3 out of 5 stars)
February 2, 2019

It is really good looking, and well made. If you want to try Beer Can chicken, I'd say this is the way to go. However, the concept just doesn't work. I put super strong hot sauce in the container with some beer. I tasted nothing from the hot sauce. This hot sauce is at a level where most people couldn't take two drops in large bowl of soup. I'm keeping this product, and will still use it from time to time, but mostly just because it can cook a whole chicken and keep it out of the melted chicken fat.

A "must have" for chicken...
by Bostonian (5 out of 5 stars)
August 13, 2019

Never had one of these, nor have I made any beer can chicken before... but now...

Works great!

Would I buy this again? Absolutely, but it seems to well made that I doubt I will need one, unless I buy it as a gift for someone.
============================

This will be more about the chicken than the roaster rack: Brined the chicken overnight in water with brown sugar, molasses, kosher salt, garlic, parsley bay leaf and cascabella peppers. Rinsed and patted dry, but then I made a mistake - I used (per a web recommendation) the "Montreal Steak" seasoning on the chicken. Combined with the brined chicken, it was way too salty. Taking the skin off, it was fabulous, juicy, tender, full of flavor. Lesson learned: make your own rub and omit the salt after brining the chicken! Looking forward to more chicken, with some experimentation with the type of brining and dry rub(s).
============================

Back to the rack -
* very sturdy
* very stable with a large chicken on it
* having a separate cup for the liquid (beer...) worked great
* being all stainless, I expect this to last a very long time
============================

My method of cleaning it after a "run" with a chicken on the grill:
* After removing all loose "gunk", put it in a large stainless steel pot with water to cover and a couple of tablespoons of dishwasher detergent.
* Boil for ~ 20 minutes.
* Rinse... you may have to scrub the handles if they have burnt-in remains, but it all comes off really easy.

Works great as a holder for bird
by CrocodileEMT (3 out of 5 stars)
June 19, 2019

I wish I would have read up on making beer chicken before I purchased this. Despite what the product implies, the liquid in the container will never reach a point to impart flavor, because liquids boil at around 212°. Having said that, I'd have to have the smoker up way too high to even get close to having liquids reach temperature. Oh well, live and learn. However, I use the liquid container to help hold my bird on the stand, and it's great for that.
