Super cool but not kid sized

So, I ordered this for my 6 year old's birthday.

Oddly, my little Star Wars freak didn't like it much. I had hoped he would be able to use it for his backpack when school starts, but none of the reviews showed the size of the actual opening. It's quite small, I'm not sure it would really hold any folders or stuff.

Also, unfortunately, Yoda is too big for his little body and just kind of falls off even with the straps fully sized down. It fits me swell.

So, after a few weeks posy-birthday sitting on the kitchen table and asking if he was SURE I should send Yoda back I finally clicked to return. I think if he fit him better he'd be all about it. Too bad.

Pros: it does appear well made and Yoda looks good. It is a cool backpack, but probably not adequate for school needs. Fun for daily or festival type stuff.

Pros:
1) Craftsmanship seems on par for what this is and how much it was. Remember this is a novelty backpack, not a sport backpack. This is not designed to carry more than a couple light items, this will NOT carry textbooks. The act that people assumed this would be a strong backpack is strange.
2) Delivery was very fast, and the packaging was great.
3) I feel like its a decent sized backpack, both the pocket and the straps.
4) People go crazy over this backpack. No joke, they love it.

Cons:
1) The size of the backpack straps make it a much better fit for an adult.
2) The face was made poorly. From a distance its alright, but up close it almost seems as if it were made incorrectly. Buyer Beware, the face does not look exactly like the picture. My Yoda's eyes are actually looking in opposite directions.
3) The way the hood is sewn on makes i impossible to put the hood up and have it still look good. With the hood up the face is turned INTO the hood effectively covering it up.
4) The price could have been a little lower. This was definitely made with cheap materials.

Worth the three stars I gave it, its OK not great. I would most likely not purchase another, but I am glad I bought at least one.

The exact same thing they have for sale at Disneyland for 1/2 the price! Bought this little guy before hand- waited for my kid to ask for it then- pulled it out! Saved myself 33 extra dollars and he LOVED IT. He got so many compliments and love toting this around the park and now that we are home all of his friends are so envious!

The item I received is much more "Yoda" like than the one in the photo. I was kind of worried based on the reviews from others but was pleasantly surprised! My husband (jokingly) said that if I could find him a Yoda that he could carry around on his back like in the movie, that is what he wanted for Christmas. I am sure he will be surprised on Christmas morning when he opens this up!

This is definitely a novelty backpack and not intended for actually carrying items. This might hold a couple of small journals or small toys for kids. There is a decent amount of padding since it's like a stuffed animal. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for and am very satisfied!

This backpack is the quite the conversation piece. Everyone likes it.

PROs - Keeps beverages really cold, not sure what type of insulation it has but it has kept my drinks cold for long periods of time. It is easy to put on and the adjustable straps are nice. The hood for Yoda is functional. Priced very well.

CONs - It is not very large. Fits a few things like two 24 oz beverages. I just wish it had one or two more pockets, it just has one big one. No laptops but definitely a pad or whatever.

Overall - I would definitely recommend this backpack if you like starwars or just cool things in general.

Who doesn't love Yoda?

I didn't buy this for the backpack functionality, but only because he looks awesome. When I go to music festivals, I usually bring him along for the attention. A lot of people will give you high fives, or you'll hear, "Dude! That's yoda!" in the distance.

I was surprised that it actually functions as a backpack pretty well. You can fit a 3-4 water bottles and some nick-knacks in the backpack. The zipper is so-so, sometimes the zip part will separate when it's tugged on too hard by someone, but it's no bother to re-zip him. Sometimes the inside lining will get caught in the zipper when you zip it up, but that's like every zipper. The straps are okay, he kind of slouches behind your back, so I usually hold on to his hands and pull him up so his head will pop over my shoulder while I'm moving to the next stage or area, otherwise no-one will really see him. If you have clothespin or something you can probably work around this.. I'm just lazy.

He looks really cool though, love the detail in his face, and his eyes are a little bug-eyed, but that actually made him look funnier, i'm not sure if that was intentional or not. If you're thinking about getting him, go for it. You won't regret it.

When Yoda isn't attending any festivals or concerts, he chills in my room with some shades. Makes a great decor piece as well.

Super cute Yoda pack, but not exactly functional

I got this for a funny "Seagulls, Stop it now!" routine my family was doing in a parade, and it was perfect for it. But to be honest, the straps are a little awkward and hard to adjust for get it to ride on your shoulders as it should. Also, don't expect to carry anything of substance in this guy, the pocket is rather small. Still, it's an awesome item.

This appears to be the same one as they sell at Disneyland. At least, the tag says Disney. I will update this review next time I'm at the park if he is not.

His zipper compartment is 13" deep and 7" across, plenty of space for my Note 5 in the big Otterbox and my wallet and some snacks.

His arms hug your shoulders, not the straps, so it should be a little more comfy on a long day.
*edit: added 3rd pic of my yoda vs disneyland yoda. Mine is on the left in the pic. They are the same. I've used him multiple times now, he is comfortable, fits a sweater and my necessary stuff, and always gets compliments.

Shoddy sewing job on strap.

Upon opening, everyone was excited. Once it was on her back, the bottom strap, that was sewn into Yoda's hip, tore out, quite easily. The other side held for the day, but now we're home and after inspection, the remaining strap is on its way out too.

We purchased this for a trip to Disneyland. I love the cuteness of this backpack, it looks just like the picture. The quality so far is great no issues with any seams or zippers etc. We surprised my 7 year old with this item and told him we were going on a Disneyland trip. He has not let Yoda out of his sight since and takes him everywhere with him. He absolutely loves him. I could not see paying $60-70 for nearly the exact same item in the parks so I am so glad that we purchased this before our trip, now I will not have to tell my 7 year old no when we get there because he will already have this awesome backpack to take along with us. I would definitely recommend this product especially for the price.
