Product Description

The Bionic grip is an open-ended version of the patented, award-winning Bionic wrench. This hand tool brings together the best features of a pair of pliers and an adjustable wrench. Like the Bionic wrench, The 8-inch Bionic grip distributes force around a work surface and automatically grips multiple sizes of nuts and bolts. However, the Bionic grips open-ended head can go over work difficult or impossible to reach with a closed-headed wrench, including pipes and tubes. It also has four serrated jaw surfaces and a new interlock mechanism that stays locked while under torque load making it ideal for use on household plumbing or hydraulic and air line fittings.

Features

  • Powerful, symmetrical grip: the bionic grip combines the versatility of an adjustable wrench with the simplicity of Pliers
  • Versatile and easy to use: No tricky knobs or adjustments and fully adjustable with a one-handed squeeze. Save time with efficient ratcheting by releasing, then re-gripping the object. Instantly grips pipes, fasteners and fittings from 1/4 inch to 9/16 inch. Our wrench replaces 13 metric and SAE wrench sizes, spanning 1/4 inch to 9/16 inch and 7 mm to 14 mm.
  • Comfortable for most sizes and abilities: the bionic grip wrench incorporates universal design features with enhanced ergonomics. The soft, double-thickness, cushioned handles fit large and small hands. With universal orientation, so our tool works in either hand in any position.
  • An amazing gift: for your husband, dad, boyfriend, or anyone who loves DIY. Great for birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays for any handyman, father, men, or women. You won't know you need bionic wrench until you have one!
  • Quality construction: All LoggerHead Tools are made in America and guaranteed Forever! Made with hardened, cold-rolled, steel-laminate construction. The industrial-quality, Black-oxide finish resists rust, corrosion, and chipping. Balanced spring action provides optimal control. Qs 9000 certified manufacturing

High hopes no more
by Mickoneil (1 out of 5 stars)

Well . I dont like giving negative reviews but this product i had high hopes for. And they didnt last long.

I found that the exact thing these were designed for the cant handle.

First off the wrench is very awkward in that you cant get far enough on a nut that is tightened down due to space between teeth and edge of wrench, second unlike the pictures or anything i saw the teeth actualiy will twist as you aply pressire to turnit. This resulted in me smashing my knuckles as it slipped or torqued off three different times while i was very attentive on being sure i had best grip i could. Guys im not talking a serious nut torqued down. This was simple shit any of my other tool could handle.

Advertising Misleading

Advertising shows the wrench fitting a garden hose. It is too small to tighten a hose fitting.

Good idea, but limited applications due to size

It's a neat idea, but it isn't very practical for most of the things I've tried it on. The width of the jaws limits the spaces that it can fit into. Whatever you're trying to grab has to have a fair amount of clearance all the way around it for the tool to function. I'll stick with a crescent wrench or a traditional wrench. I bought the larger and smaller sizes and both have had very limited use.

Not so great
by Zmunk (2 out of 5 stars)
July 7, 2019

The concept is cool, but they don't grip very well and all the extra parts that go into the mechanism make it so it doesn't fit into many spaces or locations where you'd need to tighten or loosen something. I've reached for it several times, but not once has it worked where/when I needed it, and now I've stopped bothering with it.

Not so universal

Definitely love the design and mechanics of this wrench
by Dustin Albright (4 out of 5 stars)

Definitely love the design and mechanics of this wrench. My one drawback is that with the brackets on the outside of the wrench, you lose a couple mm of grip, which makes this unchoice for a lot of standard, smaller bolts. But when you get the right bolt, it fits quite well and loosens and tightens with much more ease than your standard crescent wrench or vice grips!

Works great for the purpose I needed
by Pringles3030 (4 out of 5 stars)

Works great for the purpose I needed. Quick removal and attachment of water supply lines under kitchen sinks. Best wrench in tight situations I've used. I would give it 5 stars except it does stick occasionally and you have to squeeze and release to get it to open all the way. Minor annoyance. It may work itself out with more use. But the time it saves is well worth the price to me

Quality could be improved, i dont expect it will ...

Quality could be improved, i dont expect it will last long. Ill just have to find out.

One thing I didnt consider is the width of the tool. Its wider than I expected so its hard to use in some places.

I think this is a great invention, particularly this newer style with the open end. Glad to have one.
