I loved this little espresso machine at first but a month into using I"Žt and not that often I"Žt started to just fill up one cup all the way and the second hardly anything, it just passed the deadline for me to exchange I"Žt so now I'm stuck with I"Žt ... don't think I would buy another one

I love collecting Mokapot style espresso machines for my stove. I love this one!! It pours evenly on either side. The only thing is, I need taller espresso cups! Perhaps something like an alcohol shot glass. My cups were too short and the espresso splattered on my stove quite a bit, so with a taller cup it would work cleanly! Small size, so it's easyto store. Absolutely wonderful!

Smaller than I thought, but easily fills two espresso cups. Use hot water to start with, for better results (no burnt coffee taste). Recommended.

The only issue its the flame of your stove is big you cannot use it, the plastic that hold the dispenser will be melt. Use the small flame preferably.

I love this product. I recommend getting espresso cups with this product if you don't already have them, it will just make it easier to use. Be careful when using it around children as the spouts remain hot for a while after you use it.

2 Very Uneven Cups

Let me begin by saying that I am a Bialetti fan. However, I would recommend that you avoid this particular product. I've used it about 20 times since I've gotten it and only once did I get reasonably equal volumes in the two cups. Usually, it's about 70%/30%, always favoring one particular side. I've tried taking the filter out to see if there were any obstructions, but didn't see any. I've tried heating at different rates but to no avail. Rinsing the top part upside-down under the tap results in equal amounts of water coming out each spout so I know it's not plugged. Eventually I may try crimping the more productive spout a bit in order to constrict the flow in hopes that that will remedy the problem...

Anyway, I usually end up having to pour from one cup to the other to make them roughly equal volumes which is messy. Tonight, the cups were about 97%/3%, which prompted this review. I'm very, very disappointed, however, I'll still probably end up buying a Bialetti 3-cup caffetiera to replace it.

UPDATE, August 30th, 2010: This thing still sucks. I just bought a DeLonghi Espresso machine and it dispenses two equal volume cups. I'm probably going to chuck the Bialletti 2-cup.

I have another stove top espresso maker similar to this so i was curious about this design. My wife and i love it. Makes two perfect shots of espresso.
