A lot smaller than I expected them to be. Very flimsy too, they fell apart after about 3 tries of trying to pick up a pickle. To be honest they didn't just fall apart, the grabber hooks shot across the kitchen.

Love this item! Couldn't find one as nice as this locally. Very sturdy and long enough to get into regular store-bought jars. I wouldn't think it would work as well in those giant jars you see in restaurants so it's definitely for home use. MUCH easier than trying to use a fork to pierce the food as this tool 'grabs' instead of piercing making it a great no fuss-no muss tool. It can be used for pickles, cherries and I've used it for hot dogs too (long story, suffice it to say that I hate getting the juice of anything on my hands.) I can't believe I went this long without one of these in my kitchen...

Flawed design

I've purchased several of these from Amazon over the years. The last I bought can't do anything. Old ones had 3 bends in the tines so they worked like the Claw Machine at the pizza parlour to pick up pickles and olives. The new ones have STRAIGHT tines. They can't possibly pick up anything, and they don't. So disappointed, as I've even given these as gifts, they worked so well. Someone's not doing quality control on the manufacture of this formerly-wonderful item.

I have had these since I was a kid and lost mine in my last move.

had to get more because getting cherries out of a jar isn't easy to do without making a mess.

will continue to buy these, if I happen to lose this one again.

First use it broke - put pickle pincher in a jar of small dill pickles and tried to pull one out and as soon as the pinchers held the pickle - the who metal pickle insert fell out of the plastic holder and broke into two pieces and could not be assembled and put back in place - horrible design and useless mechanism - don't waste your money... also no way to return it.

Useful, but fragile.

This is a truly useful gadget, which we use nearly every day for pickles and olives. The only drawback is that it's kind of fragile. We've had to replace it twice already. That's OK since the price is pretty low. But of course, it would be nice if it could be both useful AND durable.

This works really well, my only problem is the top part broke off not too long after having it and it has a small crack on the top (but it may not be the products fault as it's likely my kids got a hold of it). It still works though, I can probably just glue it. It does make it a lot easier to grab my olive and pickles out of the jar especially when the jar is not so full.

Broke upon arrival

Description was alittle misleading in saying its a set of two. upon arrival it was

broke. I super glued it so I could use it right away which is why I ordered it in the first place. Amazon was great in making things right. The best customer service out there. I'm sure this was a mistake and I do really like the pickle pincher. I would order one again even though this one had a problem. Things happen and I'm sure it upset the seller too.
