Great onion slicer

This is easiest to use when you cut the onion in half and then push in the holder. I like the thin slices it makes and if you want thicker slices, cut through every other tine. The product is well made and can be used to slice other food items as well. I can't comment on using the center metal section to rid your hands of odor because I didn't try it.

Heavy duty looking...heavy spikes...good length. Helps keep knife use safer by holding product in these spikes. Can be difficult to spike hard products, like potatoes, apples, onions. Can't detect any odor removal for onions....but it might. UPDATE UPDATE Aug 2016 -- Has not been very useful, as weak left arm makes it difficult to hold, as cutting with other.

I love the idea of this, but it just doesn't work that well. Unless you stab the holder all the way through the onion, which is almost too difficult, the onion still slides all over.

I can dice onions easier and faster. I find it's harder to get the onion off the holder than in but I just dice the onion completely while it's on the holder.
