Broke as soon as dog pulled!
by Jessica (3 out of 5 stars)

I got this a couple days ago and was very excited to get to use it! I loved all the pockets and the dual D-rings!

First thing I noticed was that when I adjusted it around my waist, first off, it wouldn't go small enough, and second, as soon as the pups pulled a bit, it loosened all the way up and was just hanging off my hips. I run a Dog Boarding and Daycare facility, so the dogs aren't always well behaved on the leash, so it not staying tightened could become an issue.

Today, I had a young boxer pup who pulled when she saw a person, and the stitching on the D-ring came completely off and she was loose! Luckily I grabbed the leash before she could run away! My excitement for this has gone down dramatically, as I fear I will only be able to use it for the very well behaved dogs that don't pull at all, and now only one dog at a time (hands-free).

So, if you have a dog that pulls or anything, be very careful! Especially if they aren't good at re-call if the D-ring breaks and they run off! If you have a dog that heels nicely, then this is great (the water bottle holder is a fantastic feature!)

Best product ever!!

Love love love this pack. I can run with three dogs hands free!!!! I tel all my dog friends about this pack. It's the best! My only complaints are it stinks after several sweaty runs, and I wish the adjustable belt got slightly smaller so it was tight.

Right idea, needs a few tweaks.

As a volunteer at the local SPCA, I LOVE this hipster pack (and many of the other volunteers share my enthusiasm). However, a dedicated poop bag hole to feed the bag through would be immensely helpful. Additionally, reversing the zipper direction would go a long way toward avoiding spillage (would love to be able to open the side pouches only as much as necessary to retrieve something, as the zippers are currently positioned, one has to unzip entirely and risk spillage).

Great for hands-free dog walking and running!

These belts are fantastic! I bought these so my husband and I can go jogging with our dogs and have our hands free, so as not to mess up our (very amateur) running form. They have been very useful and very comfortable to wear. The pockets hold all your gear. Customer service is excellent as well- I had a problem with one of the zippers, and the company sent me a new one right away, and I didn't even have to go through the hassle of sending back the old one.

We also own the outward hound dog backpacks so when we're out walking it's obvious how obsessed we are with our pups. Here's a video of me walking both of them. I have my hand on the leash here but it's obviously not necessary.

Faulty product that does not withstand use by medium size dog.
by Adam S (1 out of 5 stars)

On first couple of uses, the product was great. However, within 6 uses (about once a week when used for longer hikes with our dog), the parts where the D Ring are held for attaching to the dog leash frayed, or completely failed. I thought perhaps it was just faulty on one side, so decided to give it another chance using the other side. The next use, the other side failed completely resulting in our dog becoming loose and running around chasing birds and other wildlife with me trying to get her under control.

I attached two photos. One shows half the frayed section, and the other half shows where it failed completely.

I will not recommend this to anyone else until the manufacturing is improved on the critical part of the product (the part that holds the D Ring for the dog leash!)

Good product for going on a walk or hike with your own dogs. Not the best for dog walkers
by Patty D. (3 out of 5 stars)

For someone who needs this for a walk or hike with just their dogs, this is a good product. I am a dog walker and while I like the idea of this product, the execution doesn't fully meet my needs.
First off, the sizing. Even having the straps pulled as tight as it can it is still a little loose on me. It stays on, but if one dog pulls hard enough, it comes right off. I am very petite and it would be very useful if there were a a couple of size options
The pockets - The zippered pouches are small and at an angle. They don't open all the way through and this makes it difficult to quickly place keys back in. Also, things easily fall out when I open it. I use one pocket to carry a huge key ring with at least a dozen keys on it. I am constantly opening and closing the pocket with keys and it is a nuisance to get them back in. The other pocket I use to carry a thin ID case with my ID and some cash as well as my personal keys. It doesn't fit anything else.
The middle pouch is for water bottles. Great that it can be zippered up, but it is right in the center and gets in the way of bending down to pick up dog poop. Again, if it's just your dog, you'll be fine, but I am doing this with several dogs all day long and it becomes annoying.
This leaves me with no pocket for my cell phone. I use an app to check the dogs in and out, the app also has a timer and a place to add real time pictures. I need to be able to quickly grab the phone and easily put it back. Since the zippered pockets are full, I place my phone in one of the mesh pockets. Not ideal, but it works.

Just ok

Cheap material. The strap was threaded wrong through the buckle clasp to make it tighter so I had to re-thread it. The pockets are nice to have if you have a few things you need to hold on to. but the water bottle holder is a pocket that you unzip. When zipped shut the pocket says outward hound in huge letters. I would not have purchased this if I had known that. The leash is cheap. Overall it's usable but I wish I would've purchased a different one.

This belt is wonderful for hiking with my two labs
by Andrea Ridgway (5 out of 5 stars)

This belt is wonderful for hiking with my two labs. Don't rely on the belt loop alone though if your dogs pull. My dogs bent and ripped the metal ring right off the belt when they saw a chipmunk they wanted to chase. I reinforced the metal loop with a keychain ring and haven't had any issues with the connection since. Beware that the sizing straps do start to loosen and the pack will start to fall down on your hips if your dogs pull a lot. The product description says not to use for dogs who pull and I'm guessing that's why. I just tighten and keep going though. I'm giving the product five stars since its the only belt or hands free leash that hasn't broken completely while hiking with my labs. Most are made with plastic pieces that crack and break. The loops and leash hooks are metal and good quality (The belt strap slides and clasps are plastic but very sturdy). Great product!

Almost perfect.

We love almost everything about this product. We were looking for something that held a water bottle: Check! The hands-free leash was new for us and it works great! Just one thing: the zipper for the treat pockets start from the bottom. Thus, while training, when I start to unzip the pouch for our puppy's treat, treats fall out. (Pic below). Maybe the mesh pockets were intended for treats and not the zipper pockets, but those don't close at the top, so if I bend over - treats falling out again. This product would be perfect if the zipper started on the opposite side or had a two-zipper system, such that I could easily get just a treat or two from the top of the pouch.

A must have for dog lovers!
by Josh Lively (5 out of 5 stars)

I use this regularly for my three dogs! I have 3 large dogs and this pack has held up surprisingly well! The pack is comfortable and there is plenty of space for doggy bags and my phone. The water bottle holder is secure and I have put several different sized bottles in it with no problem. There are two places you can hook dogs up so one on either side without having them pull the pack unevenly. The only issue that I have is that the pack loosens as you use it so I have to tighten it up every time I put it on. Other than that I highly recommend it for any dog lover looking to enhance their walk!
