Disappointed.

The pictures on the link for this item are very misleading. I purchased 3 of these pots as a gift for Christmas, and thought that there would be multiple pot colors, but all I got were three frosted purple plastic pots. Advertised in their photos, they showed green, pink, yellow, white, and purple as pot colors. The LEDs inside the pot are color changing, but it would have made more sense if the pots were at least white, or if I actually had a choice in the color of the pot, as the purple drowns out the red/orange/yellow colors of the LEDs. If they were selling only purple pots, they should at least state that, or take their other colors down, which they obviously do not have.

The pots do not have a drainage system, which I had to drill holes in, and if you were to drain, you'd have to remove the interior portion to not ruin the LED light system with water.

One of the pots was not lighting up at all when I opened it to inspect it. Upon removing the LED portion to check the batteries, one of the wires that was supposed to power the LED was broken, and rusted. I ended up needing to replace the wire, and solder it myself to get it working.

Overall, not as advertised. They're cheaply made, and I had to fix the pots myself to get them in working order.

Cheaply made

I bought 4 pots and while I was putting 3 batteries in each of them, 3 of the 4 pots had issues with the "On/Off switch on the bottom of the pot. The switch did not line up with the opening so you would have to wiggle it to fit. That was the first problem. The second issue was that the wire attached to the "On/Off" switch was very tiny and it seemed like they had shorted out. I imagine if I got it jiggled just right that it would have worked but then thought, "When I put plants in these they will obviously be heavier and when I want to turn them on or off I would have to lift the pot up and the odds are the lights would not work because there would be no way for me to wiggle the wires again because I wouldn't be able to get to it because the wire is inside the bottom of the pot. One other thing, the plastic thing that holds the batteries in was unglued on one of them and just fell out. Such a shame because I really wanted to like these.

Not sure if I like them or not depends on your taste I guess

I haven't quite decided whether I like these pots or not. I do know I don't like the fact that I couldn't pick my color. They just send you what they want to

Makes my tiny seedling feel like a real Christmas tree

Obviously for the price you know its not the best flower pot in the world, its just a cute one.

We are using this pot for our little fraser fir Christmas tree. Its not idea for such a use and I knew that going in.

The pot is a semi see-through purple plastic. It doesn't have a huge potting area because most of the pot is clear and empty so the LED can light it up. It also doesn't have any way to drain the water out of the bottom, so I wouldn't over water your plants or they'll get root rot. I also wouldn't leave the pot outside in the rain or snow because it would destroy the electronics.

The pot is very pretty when lit up at night and it makes our small Christmas tree, who is far to weak to hang lights on, feel like a real Christmas tree. The pot won't look very well if you have bright lights on it as the whole pot won't glow. So only use it in low light areas so it can really glow. It fades between blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, red and pink at will and doesn't allow you to keep it on an specific color.

I haven't had the batteries (three AAA) die yet, but we've had it on for at least 3 hours already with no problems.

All in all, its a fun little flower pot.

Plants die in this pot. There's no way for the soul to get oxygen. Waste of money. I had expensive seeds go to waste.

Not very bright
by Theresa B (3 out of 5 stars)

Not as bright as you think it is. Very shallow pot, is not as deep as I thought either, so can not have long stems for flowers, but could be used for a smaller plant. Definitely too light to put outside as it would blow away. Wasn't very bright, so use it to put candy in a holiday gatherings as it is a fun centerpiece when lights are low around the tree.

Not worth the money

This product is made of very cheap plastic, and doesn't even include a set of batteries for the first time use. I don't think it would hold anything heavier than a single marble. I gave it 2 stars because the idea is cool, but the execution was poor.
