I loved this product from the start, taking the small container in my purse when I went to work, lecture and other events. Now it has become even more important and I'd like to know how to contact the makers and give my report. My husband, after surgery for rectal cancer, has an ostomy bag. this has been since 1998. recently he has declined enough to have at home Hospice (an whole new article on those earth angels). I can't help with the bag because of arthritis but recently I brought the poo-pourri to his hospital bed and on using it, there is ABSOLUTELY NO ODOUR WHATSOVER WHEN THE BAG IS OPENED OR CHANGED!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so amazed and gratified as he is situated in the bed in the middle of the living room so any smell permeates the whole house. NADA. being a man of extreme dignity, all that has to be done to him is a challenge. this little bottle of magic is wonderful.

I first encountered Poo-Pourri in a friend's bathroom and was very grateful to unexpectedly find it there. It's a really nice courtesy to have on hand, whether you want to avoid leaving an unpleasant odor somewhere you're going or whether you leave one out as a courtesy for guests who, likewise, don't want to offend. Especially in the lives of students, whose bathrooms (like mine) often open directly into their living quarters, it's great to have it on hand.

That being said, I was skeptical that such a small and innocuous-looking spray could mask the kinds of eye-watering odors I was looking to avoid - especially where my husband is concerned - and that's not me trying to get a laugh at his expense. My husband has an auto-immune disorder that affects his intestines, and this causes what otherwise would be regular bathroom stink to be upgraded to the level of "someone has tapped a sewer line directly outside our window". I wasn't sure that Poo-Pourri would work for him just as well as it has in every other situation, but we were both pleasantly surprised that it did. This has now become a household staple for us and a travel must for him. I would absolutely recommend it to other individuals with similar circumstances (Crohn's, IBS, etc.).

I received this as a "gag gift" but thought I would give it a try. It actually works quite well! It has a strong lemon smell to fight against the bad odors. Just spray 2-3 sprays into the toilet before you go and you come out of the restroom with it smelling like you actually cleaned while you were in there. Great for use when you are at a friends house or if you have company over at yours. The bottle looks so fancy too, it came with an adorable little charm around it.

Okay, so I bought this partly out of curiosity if it would actually work and partly as a joke on my husband. We have only one bathroom in our house and it's in the middle of our downstairs area. Needless to say, it can get pretty stinky after someone uses it for certain purposes. So, I bought this to see if it would help. It did! While the smell of the product basically overpowers anything else, at least it's pleasant smelling, a lot like lemons. I'm planning on buying some to bring in my purse to our friends' house (their bathroom is right next to the couch in the living room -- dangerous!), and also as gifts for people who would find it both funny and actually useful, plus again for our own home!

I keep one at work, one at home, and I travel with one.. oh and one in my "walk of shame" bag (that bag stays in the trunk and has all my essentials for a spontaneous moment). ;-). If you are considering buying this product, my purchase history should tell you something. :-) I really do love this stuff. You don't have to be ashamed to go when you are out and about or spending the night away from home. I think every one should carry one, especially if you don't know when the feeling will hit you. I especially think ladies should use them if they have to go while at work. I can't STAND going into the ladies room and that smell hits you at the door. it just makes me gag and I feel contaminated... like the smell is all over me.

Never be without it

This stuff is the best for the bathroom.....I have recommended it to many people and they

also think it is the best for what it needs to do. The original commercial had to be one of the

greatest of all time. I spray whether I need it or not. I also keep mixed essential oils in

the bathrooms and the bedrooms; for extra beautiful scent in the rooms.
The big bottle saves a lot of money. I would never be without it.

Very nice scent! And yes it does work - let people laugh at you when you tell them; it is them who will be missing out. And I was one of them. A friend of mine recommended this but she told me to go to a major department store in town and buy it. I found it on Amazon at a better price and never had to get in my car, fight traffic, and crowds. I got it home and set it DISCREETLY near the "throne". I did give instructions to everyone how to properly use it (and it does take just one quick spray) and left the room. Well, who is laughing now? Not me. The product works just as how it is presented. Wonderful fragrance and easy to "apply".

All I'm gonna say on this is it smells great. I started working in a small family owned business and in the bathroom they had this Poo-Pourri. I went in there one day, pulled the cap off to smell it and asked my coworker ok so what's this all about. She said, just spray a little after you go poo as it is flushing and the bathroom never smells. WOW is this awesome. Really cute 2-ounce size fits in your purse so you can take it to a public bathroom or maybe even a friends house so if you absolutely can't hold it and know you're gonna stink up the bathroom, guess what? The bathroom is actually left nicer smelling than when you entered it....Really great product!

Wish you could get more for your money.... but then the bottle wouldn't be as discreet would it? I love the natural lemony scent. lemon or anything citrus just smells clean to me. And I'm not one to leave funk behind....sometimes you cant just go at home.... so having this with me (purse or at desk at work) assures me that I can "go" and not have to worry about who walks in after me. Just spray once (or twice) on top of the water in the bowl before you go, go, then flush.....smell goes along right with it. Not sure what the science is behind it, but it works. I read that placing two drops of essential oil will give you the same result....I will try it when this runs out.

Great product. Great idea. The oils act as a surfactant ( covering) on the surface of the toilet water so that odors below can't get to the surface.

The original citrus scent is true to it's name. I got this for use in the shared bathroom at home rather than the overpowering fragranced sprays

that we previously used. The instructions say to use 4 sprays but I would definitely recommend starting with 2, because 2 sprays seem to be effective and you don't want to waste the product at this cost. Also, the spray is a very fine mist and you should ideally spray below the level of

the toilet seat to avoid getting it on the seat ( You'll know if you don't). We are now using this at work in our staff depository and it met with

great joy in that the hallway near the bathroom no longer reeks of bathroom spray.
I prefer the original bottle as it is see through so you can see when you get low. At this point, I am just getting the 16 oz refill bottle as it is the most cost effective.
