Super pleased, got my boy to swim through the little hoop in less then a week of training!

I will say that I have had three bettas and my current one is the most food motivated fish I have ever owned. I think being strongly motivated by food is a very important quality for any fish student.

The training techniques are simple enough that I think any child could do it will a little assistance!

I've always felt like my goldfish was bored, swimming around alone - I know goldfish are social fish, but I only have one :(

Anyway, this is an adorable kit! All the little pieces are really bright and nice, and I'm very excited to start teaching my fish tricks.

Currently, I've managed to get my fish to swim over to the feeding wand, and it is VERY MUCH WORTH THE EFFORT! The first few training sessions, she completely ignored me, which was discouraging, but to all you aspiring fish trainers, keep trying! It was so exciting when she swam right over and ate! And then she did it again, and again!

Anyway, I haven't started teaching her any real tricks yet, but I would like to address anyone who is impatient: I believe the current world record for fish tricks is 6? And the kit contains about 8. So don't expect your fish to pick up every single trick right away - we're not all world-record holders here :)

I can't tell you how the DVD worked because my computer is really old and decided not to play any audio for the video. But this was definitely worth the purchase so far (it is an incredible idea, and my friends think it's hilarious, so thank you R2 Fish School!), and good luck to my fellow fish trainers!

My Beta was very easily trained, but the treat stick is so large and bulky it scared him at first so I just use a very small replica of a Harry Potter wand. It works perfectly and makes the trucks look even better because with a flick of the wand, he goes through hoops, jumps, and touches his ball! He's quickly become popular at the office for his tricks thanks to this kit!

I really like this kit except for the feeding stick. Whenever I go to reward a bubble pops out of the feeding chamber which sometimes scares the fish causing them to lose track of the training process and their reward! It would be perfect if they could get rid of the air bubble issue and make it a bit less bulky. Otherwise this is a fun activity for kids, hobby trainers, and professional animal trainers alike!

My daughter loves this. We watched the world's cheesiest video that came with it and demonstrated the product. She has started trying her beta fish, and could not be more excited. It comes with a little field, balls, hoops, training wand, and everything you need to make it happen!

Coolest product ever

This is probably the coolest thing I've ever purchased on Amazon. It is very well put together product of good quality. My shubunkins love flying through obstacle courses in their tank (much to their bn pleco sister's chagrin) and mimicking us dancing outside the tank. I've noticed they have gotten bored lately and will sit on the ground (they aren't stressed, ill, scared and their water quality is fine). They perk up when I change their tank and start playing again.

This is exactly what they need to create new adventures and keep them happy. I'm going to add toys and let them find their own games to start, and maybe try training if they don't seem to get it.

We need more products like this!!

I have a teenager who hangs out at my house because I have lots of dogs. She has a pet goldfish and had been telling me over and over how smart her fish was and how she was teaching it tricks.

That same night I was browsing the warehouse deals and spied this fish training kit. It was the PERFECT Christmas gift for her, and I couldn't wait to give it to her.

As you know, buying something from a picture is scary...frankly it looked kind of tiny and cheap to me but when it came I was really, really impressed.

She was thrilled with the gift and is already telling me about all the things her fish can do! Can't wait to see it in action!!!

Holy smokes! Fish school? Yes, this product is so cool. It was so easy to train our beta fish. He was doing tricks on the very first day.

The trick is that you can only feed your beta fish 3 pellets per day, so that narrows down to reward-treating your fish for only 3 tricks per day.

I would say that it is best that a kid 7 or older use this, because the "treat-wand" opens and closes. When it closes, if you were to have a very young person, with not-so-strong fingers operating the wand, it could close down on your friendly beta fish, and pinch him. Anyway, minor complaint. What a super cool product this is.

Keep in mind that it does require a very big tank, with a very big opening on the top of the tank. We had to go out and buy a new 10 gallon tank, with a special lid that allows a big item to get inside the tank very easily. Read the dimensions of the "soccer field". It was totally worth buying a new tank though.

They say that what keeps a beta fish healthy is a changing environment, and being social. Our fish was very happy every time we brought the training equipment in. He blows lots of bubbles for us, and wags his tail.

I was skeptical about this after someone recommended it to me, but am so happy that I got it. My fish are already learning! The kit goes above and beyond with a clear, entertaining manual, a training DVD, and tons of fun props for fish tricks. It's very well made! This is a must have for any fish owner!

Good for a gift or for a few items

This is everything that comes with it, to the left are the items I will be using. The idea is cute and probably would be a good xmas gift. But I have a 5 gallon with a betta most of this stuff is too big to go into the tank. And some stuff is pretty poorly made. I couldnt find any mini balls for my fish so finally gave in. Going to try to rig up the other hoops for him.
