Gives the ability to grill lots of veggies at once

These things are great for grilling a bunch of veggies at once. They are also perfect for pre-loading and them marinating right on the rope. However, I will note two pretty big downsides for these wires. First, it is really, really hard to turn them over on the grill for even cooking on all sides. Food chunks tend to just roll around on there and the rope style is really hard to manage in maneuvering. You can't really lift them up, or things will slide right off of the end. This leads to my second concern - these ropes are pretty hard to get off of the grill, especially if you have them all loaded up. In theory, it seems ideal to be able to load these bad boys up and snake them all over the grill. When it comes to actually managing them on the grill, that's another story. However, I think the pros far outweigh the cons on these grilling wires, and I use mine all the time. Definitely worth the money. Just be careful not to burn yourself when trying to move them around or get them off of the grill.

It hold large amount of food, Cooks better than on a a regular skewer and more evenly. Easy to flip on the grill and can be kept straight on grill or in a loop that's easy to handle. The end is like a knitting needle before it goes on the wirer which I think helps it move and cook thru the meats etc. Love the firer wires and have bought them multiple times for gifts. Easy to store and wash.

Feed The Snake Only Veggies

They work like they supposed to , but I like cooking meat on skewers much easier. This works great when cooking just veggies. They glide right off.

But trying to slide meat off this while its wiggling around can be a pain LOL. It works , but I will use skewers for meat and just use these for grilling veggies now. I gave it 5 stars anyway because it is terrific for veggies.

These are perfect for grilling for just a small group. If you want to make kebabs for more than 4 people, I would recommend going traditional, but these are so easy to use. You can put on the ingredients right on, then put them in a marinating container by curling up the wire, so your food gets fully marinated. Also, when you are grilling you can shape the wire however fits your grill best. If you have a small grill or if you are grilling something else at the same time, it is very convenient to be able to shape the kebab however you want.

I grill just about everything and 4-5 x/ week. These guys allow you to place them around large cuts of meat to maximize available cooking surface area of the grill. They clean easily. The end used to skewer the food is wider than I thought it should be but unless you cut your mushrooms too small or have skinmpy scallops i"ve been pleased with how well the food stays on w/o rotating. Yes, the ends, if left out from under the grill lid do retain a temperature you can grab and work with - still nervous about that for some reason.

Makes Effective Use of the Whole Grill

These skewers are great for making effective use of the whole grill... due to their signature flexibility, they are able to be laid in any fashion to maximize grilling space.

I have had the most success by separating my meats and veggies onto separate skewers so that the cook times align. If you put many items with varying cook times onto the same skewer, some items will end up over/undercooked.

All in all this is a great, durable product that I use regularly.

My biggest complaint is the dull rounded tip. This made it really hard to get some veggies onto the skewer in one piece (such as onions that snapped in half) Easy to clean on top shelf in the dishwasher, no problems there. Just need to make sure to keep the ends very completely off the grill when using, or use mits to move them as I burned myself doing this. Even with the ends 2" off the sides of the grill, I still toasted my fingers on them.

These Fire Wires are so awesome! They work great and have made doing skewer grilling so much easier. Anyone that enjoys this type of barbecuing, you need to get these! They are easy to clean and easy to store. When on the grill we typically put the end of the skewer in the hoop and then hang the end out of the barbecue. You can easily grab the skewer without any gloves on and flip the entire skewer. Great product and highly recommend them!
