Pollock's style was unusual to say the least: Affixing canvases to a wall, the floor, or the ground if painting outdoors, Pollock dripped and poured commercial house paint from cans and arranged it using “sticks, trowels, or knives,” sometimes augmenting it with sand, broken glass, or “foreign matter,” as Pollock stated it. He placed great import on being able to walk around such paintings and work on them from all four sides. Such “action painting,” opined artists and critics, expressed or revealed the unconscious moods of the artist. Pollock’s drip paintings, as Willem de Kooning said, “broke the ice” for the Abstract Expressionists who followed Pollock. In 1964 Springbok Editions issued Convergence as a 340-piece jigsaw that was touted as “the world’s most difficult puzzle.” With this 1,000-piece reemergence of Convergence, Pomegranate just about triples the challenge. I love this puzzle! It drove me absolutely crazy - I had to find a piece with some interesting or unique pattern, then search for that pattern in the picture, then place the puzzle piece in the approximate location where it would eventually go. Over time I found myself getting to "know" the artwork and the patterns - but it never got much easier. Took me about 12 evenings to complete. The pieces are sturdy and fit nicely together - it really is a quality puzzle and will be lots of fun for experienced puzzlers who have put enough blue skies and wavy water pics together and need a new challenge!

Nice challenging puzzle, abstract design with a variety of colors. I purchased this puzzle to use the pieces in mixed media projects. Will use the current colors or may paint some pieces with acrylic paint.

If you like puzzles you will defiantly like this one. Not a puzzle you can do in couple days. This puzzle will take some time but worth it.
