Heading up for the fall season color change, I thought from my friend's comments this would be useful as we were going to stop by the University. Well, we did see some color change, and naturally enough, after translation, the book went a long way to explaining the wet look of the locals in the various towns and villages in the hinderlands. Dr. Carter was kind enough to help us understand that while it's dated, there are some eternal truths no to be missed in this book. However, sometimes it's best to leave sleeping giants lie.

Buyer beware, once you've started reading it, it's really, really hard to put down.

Not a prop

I bought this for my child thinking it would make for a great Christmas present (he loves to read and the pictures all looked so nice) after some initial misunderstanding of ancient Sumerian (Thanks Google Translator!!!!) we finally got enough of a gist of it to read it before bed.

Well now I've read the thing and my son's locked in the basement chanting things like "Join us!" or "Let me out." Yeah right, I'm not going to feed my demon-possessed son, I know what those things eat and it ain't green beans. He first tried crying and begging to convince me he wasn't possessed, that's just what they want you to think! Next thing you know I'll be letting him out and he'll be assaulting girls on the playground with vines!

Nope, he's much more behaved now, he hasn't spoken in two weeks, but I know he's down there waiting for me to fight him one on one with a chainsaw (like I'm going to do that I've seen too many movies to know better)

So thanks Amazon.
