Cool novelty gift if you can get it cheap, but otherwise useless and poorly crafted.

I bought this a good while ago, but was overcome by it's "coolness" and decided to shell out good money for it (bought it for about 15 bucks with shipping 3 years ago, now goes for about 5 bucks.) For one, it's hard to get water into it evenly so you can have complete bullet ice cubes, the two pieces don't fit that well together and slide around a lot when you try placing it in your freezer; and even if you're fortunate to get nicely shaped bullet cubes, they are a nightmare to remove from the tray without breaking it. Would have probably worked better if the product was made out of soft silicone or rubber so you can easily bend the bullets out, but I guess they were trying to go with a cooler and semi-realistic (not really) assault rife magazine look. Needless to say, if you can buy it for less than 5 bucks, go for it, but be warned the cool novelty feeling wears off fast when you're struggling to get perfectly bullet shaped ice cubes.

AK Ice Trays

I really enjoy using my AK Ice Trays to make bullet shaped ice cubes for my husband and kids. They love the bullet shaped ice cubes to use in their drinks. The AK Ice trays are easy to fill and freeze. However it is hard to open once frozen. Other than that we love the AK Ice Trays. I am going to order some more for my friends at Christmas time. Seller shipped fast and items arrived in great shape.

Requires some skill

ok, I seen a lot of people complaining about this. Honestly it's not all that bad.

However, it IS difficult to get perfect results.

Filling: the top has small hole to allow air to escape, otherwise you get "half cartridges"

Freezing: If your fridge is set very cold, yes they will break easily trying to get them out.

Which brings us to retrieval.

The halves of the mold take a bit of effort to pull apart. and will leave "edges" around the cartridge.

The edges aren't really a big deal as they are the first bit to melt.

As to size, I did once own an SKS which fired 7.62 x 39 (Same as AK47), and I can say the size "is" accurate.

With a little patience it's possible to get good results.

But for me, it's not worth all that effort.

Fun Product

I bought this for my husband and he loved it. This is a great item for anyone who enjoys guns or hunting.

I like the design better then some of the other ice trays I've seen. This one give you a complete bullet as opposed to half a bullet with a flat side. Sometimes the bullets come out a little misshaped, but you have to make sure that there is enough water inside the tray. I also like this ice tray design because it is easier to put into the freezer than others that have an open top or that are silicone since the water tends to spill out of the tray on the way to the freezer.

The tray is well constructed and it works great, but if you want absolutely perfectly moulded bullet

The tray is well constructed and it works great, but if you want absolutely perfectly moulded bullets you have to inject the mould with a small gauge syringe (I'm using the tray to make gummy candies, so the perfect shape is hard to achieve otherwise).

Well I love the idea, but they sure don't look like what you'd expect as in the final product. Used it twice and has sat on top of my refrigerator since. Like I said good concept and it is an ice tray but you get for what you pay for!!!!

Worked a couple times then slowly stopped making full cubes in the desired shape. Broken after 2 months. Bought this a while ago

Serves it purpose

i use this product for making/freezing tea tree & coconut oil suppositories for yeast infection/BV prevention. Serves purpose and saves money from buying expensive pre-made versions at health food store. The clips to close it broke off within first couple uses, but still functional without them.

Just ok, doesn't turn out real life results as good as the product image.

I bought these for the novelty of it. I thought it might be a neat party conversation piece. However, although the ice cubes it makes are relatively bullet shaped, typically there is a ring of ice around the bullet thus making it only "bulletish" as opposed to a clear replica. I suppose if you took a knife and shaved them they would similar to the one in the picture but who really wants to take the time to do that?

Completely disappointed. This product is so hard to actually use

Completely disappointed. This product is so hard to actually use. You have to be extremely steady to be able to fill it up and put it in the freezor. I don't even use it anymore bc of how hard and long it takes to actually use. Horrible buy!!
