What a great product! I have a toddler that is at the stage of wanting to do everything on his own and this Kidswitch allows him to control the lights in his own room. The handle is perfectly long enough to reach and my son is a bit short for his age. When the lights are out, the Kidswitch glows in the dark which would fit perfectly if you have glow in the dark star decor in your child's room. The application was easy as it just replaces your normal light switch plate with the 2 screws provided. This is also great for teaching your toddler the meaning off and on by using the lights in their own room. There are multiple reasons why this is a 5 star product for our household, but it is one of the best ways to encourage your child's independence and maintain their safety. Amazon delivered this product super fast as well, so I am thoroughly pleased all the way around. Thank you Kidswitch and Amazon for providing an amazing product.

I ordered a single first, then ordered the multi-pack because we liked it so much. Really easy to install (it comes with screws, you just need a screwdriver to take out your old screws and then install with the new ones). Easy for kids to reach and grab, and my kids really like the glow-in-the-dark feature. My 4 year old was constantly asking for help because he's afraid of the dark and wanted us to turn lights on for him. This has made him so much more independent! See photos of it in the dark, and a (very ripe, don't judge me) banana for scale.

Bought this as an xmas present for my niece, and it seriously may have beat out most of her other gifts. She no longer has to tell for s ok someone to come turn the night on so she can go to the bathroom. The one negative is she is asking everyone if they need to pee every fee minutes so she can run on and turn the light on for them and off after they leave. Plan to get more for the other light switches in the house.

My 2.5 year old wants to be more independent and use the bathroom by herself etc. so I needed a way for her to reach the light switch without using a stool and THIS is the perfect solution!!!

Although we have a double outlet and the countertop is in the way, she can reach the moon perfectly and now she can turn the light on and off on her own. She's so proud of herself and it has saved me over a dozen trips per day, just to turn the bathroom light on and off so she can potty. Thank you for making this product!!! I'd love to see one like this in a half size for those of us with light switches over the countertops.

Pro's:

*Product is great quality, thick and sturdy handle with the right amount of flexibility.
*I paid $8 for one KidSwitch (Price is worth the time I've saved.)

*Great for renters too!

Con's:
*Handle is too long for our bathroom light switch over the countertop, but it still works perfectly.
*I'd rather the actual handle be a half circle instead of a moon since we use these around the house in public areas. I taped the screws to the light switch until I could put them in a baggie, label them, and store them in a place we'll remember since we're renters.

Worth the extra few bucks

I bought this switch extender, and later bought a 2-pack of an off brand to save some money - I wish I had bought more of these. This product attaches with it's own built-in screws both above and below the switch (replacing the screws on your switch plate). It is a solid piece of plastic, so it is durable, and it will not come off with aggressive pullng. The off-brand I bought only attaches via one screw at the bottom and has just a flimsy piece of plastic to pop over the switch, meaning it comes off easily. This product is definitely superior.

Awesome product!! Does exactly what I needed it to!

I wanted my almost 3 year old to be able to reach the light switch in her room.

This Kidswitch Light Switch was super easy to install and easy for her to use.

A few downsides-She tried pulling it out instead of up and down so I'm a bit worried she may snap it, but once she figured out to only go up or down, she doesn't seems to pull now. And only other thing is if the screws are too tight you can't move lights switch. But if too loose, which happened once, the screw pops out!! But again, we've adjusted it to properly work now.

Awesome price, came quickly and love it!! If I need more, I'll be buying the same product!!! Thank you!!!

Excellent Product for our 3 year old! I purchased this as a single because I didn't notice there was a 3 pack. If you are like us, you will need more than 1.

I won't rehash what others have said about the ease of installation and construction of this product. It is good, does what it is meant to do easily, and is a great addition to a house with kids. It only took a few minutes for our daughter to get the hang of using it. I wish I could say it only took a few minutes to curb her enthusiasm for being able to easily turn the lights on and off!

Did not work like described

I wanted this to work for my kids room. I was eager for this to arrive and when it did, I quickly installed it on my kids light switch, but there was a major problem....the mount holes wouldn't line up with both screws on my light switch. I tried to get it to work, but when I did finally get both screws on there, it was so tight that it didn't turn on the lights when the switch went up. I tried other screw options, but it just wouldn't work. I sent it back before it was too late and I don't recommend this product to anyone.

An unexpected hit!

I bought this thinking it would make my life a little easier. My toddler likes to turn the light in her bathroom on and off upon entering and leaving the room, which meant I would have to pick her up every time. I know, I could do it for her, but I want her to learn how things work and that she can do things on her own. Not only did this make my life easier, she loves showing grandparents and aunts how she can turn the light on and off.

I read one review that said this was a real flimsy piece of plastic. Maybe they made upgrades since that reviewer purchased theirs, but my experience is that I am very pleased with the construction of the piece. The plastic arm is very rigid and it hangs (rests) about 3/4 of a inch away from the wall, so it doesn't scratch up the wall with all the up and down. The screws with sleeves that it came with make for a solid attachment at the wall plate, and the action is smooth and consistent.

It does glow in the dark if it has been exposed to light for a time, but the glowing properties don't last through the night. The only thing I had to train my toddler to do was not to pull it away from the wall, but rather push up and pull down.

The glow in the dark is perfect. I wouldn't have thought about the fact that even during the day you need the glow in the dark for the kids to see the pully-thing.

It hangs down just low enough so our 2, almost 3 year old grabs it perfect. At first he could only pull down and it only took a week and he was going up and down with it and in that independent phase, he absolutely loves the autonomy he has of being able to turn on and off the light and not needing us to do it for him. He still needs a little stool to do it, but for him that is fine just something extra to be proud of. He doesn't mind moving the stool, I would hate it in my world of efficiency but he loves it.

I am so pleased with this purchase.
