Only good for party pizzas or thin pizzas

Small...it doesn't fit in our hands. Only pizza this will work on is thin pizzas like party pizzas..or it will scrape the toppings right off of it

Only works for very thin pizza. Also got water inside!

This pizza cutter, while cool and novel, unfortunately only really works as a desk toy, and doesn't cut pizza particularly well. As many others mentioned, the actual cutting depth is quite small, so this has trouble cutting even relatively thin pizza.

Also, the wheel came pretty loose fast, so it kinda wobbles back and forth when cutting.

And finally, there seems to be water stuck inside of the cutter. Pretty sure I'm gonna end up throwing this out, as I'm sure the water inside will get moldy, and I don't want any of that falling on my food

Not for use with many toppings.

I got this for my dad as a bit of a ha-ha gift, and it was a hit. My mom makes pizza a lot, so it felt very appropriate.

It works well for cutting a thin pizza with relatively flat toppings. But that is not how my family does pizza, as a general rule. I'm pretty sure we just pile the works on there and pray it's edible.

The space between the 'plate' of the saw and the bottom of the saw is not large enough for easy slicing for any of our standard pizzas. I'm not sure it would even do well on a simple meat lovers pizza from Papa Johns, since it seems determined to catch on each and every lump and DRAG it across the whole dang pizza.

Also, if you're one of those people with the overly stuffed utensil drawers, be advised this will make them even more difficult to open. It doesn't necessarily take up that much room, it's just thick and awkward in the drawer, and suddenly you're rearranging all your spatulas again so you can fit one little pizza cutter. You can't just shove it in on top of stuff and try to work the drawer closed, you have to actually commit to putting it in the drawer neatly like a proper, organized adult.

As far as a standard slicer goes, it's pretty decent. You might need a second pass or so through the pizza just to make sure it got through the crust, but I've found that to be the case with many many pizza cutters.

There is also more cleaning involved, just because it's not a standard pizza cutter and there are some little nooks and crannies for all your tomato sauce to find.

We mostly pull this out for company now and they get a good laugh out of it. And then we get a laugh out of them working to get it through their pizza. Should've used less sausage, Aunt Carol.

Lefties beware - the design is also much more comfortable in the right hand than the left

Very cute idea, but there just isn't enough blade clearance. A deep-dish pizza, or one piled high with toppings, just gets gummed up in the blade guard.

Lefties beware - the design is also much more comfortable in the right hand than the left.

So Cute and Funny

We are remodeling our kitchen/house and are eating lots of pizza because it is, unfortunately, cheap and easy when your kitchen has many holes in it. Our life seems to be all about tools these days, so it was the perfect spontaneous gift for us/my husband. He absolutely loves it and it is out on display for all to see. The blade is impressively sharp and is of decent size for a regular pizza - not sure how it would do for a really deep pizza. But for the cheaper pie you are eating while you work in plaster and saw dust, it's perfect. It is also easy for his big hands and short fingers to hold.

The blade easily cuts the pizza crust (sharp enough)

Although it is a cute idea, it does not function as I had hoped. The flat part above the cutting part of the blade pulls off pizza toppings as you cut. It is difficult to cut the pizza at the sides of the pan. Not quick to clean up. However, The blade easily cuts the pizza crust (sharp enough).

He's so cute!

Bought this as a white elephant gift for a Christmas party and it ended up being one of the most sought after gifts there. This little guy is so cute and his feet actually pedal while he's cutting your pizza. The blade could stand to be a little sharper from what I hear but it's nothing a dual edge sharpening stone can't fix. I'm honestly thinking of getting another for myself just so I can laugh everytime I have pizza.

world's coolest pizza cutter

I got this for a friend who LOVES pizza and works construction. It was a big hit. It has been more like kitchen décor than a utensil. It was worth it for just that. It's a great conversation piece. We have never used it as a pizza cutter, but when I was talking about it to someone else they told me that they were given one as a gift and it didn't work very well. They said that the blade isn't low enough for thick pizza, and that it was difficult to clean inside of the blue guard piece. I gather that it works fine for an occasional use or a novelty item. I'd definitely buy it again, but on the other hand, you may not want to throw away your old pizza cutter.

Designed for a clever look rather than cutting pizza...

I can't help but smile every time I open the cabinet to take out the Pizza Boss, since it looks great! But when it comes to actually cutting a pizza, it's hard to apply the same kind of pressure that you do with a long handled pizza cutter, and the wheel guard tends to drag along toppings and cheese (even on thin pizzas) since it isn't fully exposed like a normal pizza cutter. The blade is sharp enough, and the cover comes off easily for cleaning. So, unfortunately the Pizza Boss is more for aesthetics than actually being a boss at its job.

Great wedding gift....
by Karla (5 out of 5 stars)
October 15, 2013

Guys always seem to get left out of the loop in the wedding present department, so I thought I'd look for "manly" kitchen tools. Not being sure what would come up in that search. This little pizza cutter came up and I thought it would be great. It was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but I only saw that it was a "saw" and didn't read how big it actually was. Well, my nephew-in-law opened up this part of the gift and when he saw what it was his eyes got big and he was excited! It was cute really. He immediately said we needed to make a pizza so he could use it.

Quality seems good and it's just so darn cute!
