Absolutely stunning piece of model work! I wasn't expecting it to be so detailed, or so scientifically accurate, but it is an incredible showpiece whether displayed with the anatomy or simply as a realistic replica of carcharodon carcharias!!

Who wouldn't want to look into a great White... I mean, safely, not while being consumed. Or if your a dino-buff maybe imagine a Megalodon. The other side is a nicely painted great White, you can mount it either way. The little extra black piece allows you to conceal the contents of the middle section if you want to enjoy assembling and disassembling.

subtle but eye catching

As a kid, I always wanted this but my parents always said no. Now I'm an adult and don't have to ask for things so I finally got this!! I love it so much. I just finished assembling it and I can't stop staring at it. There's a little fold-out booklet that comes with it and it shows you how to assemble the parts and there's also facts about each organ and facts about sharks. It's everything. I love it so much.

Great learning tool, small defect with poles.

This was a great learning tool for my ten year old daughter. She had a class project in which she had to create a life sized "dummy" representing what career they wanted when they grew up. My daughter chose Marine Biologist and used the shark for a prop. All the kids were fascinated with it! She put it together on her own without any help and was able to teach the other kids about shark anatomy. She was able to tell me what all the different body parts were.

The only reason I am deducting a Star is bc the black plastic poles that hold it up didn't secure tightly and the shark kept falling down. I ended up securing it with a glue gun and haven't had issues since.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this shark. It was bigger than I expected and was really sturdy. My 5 year old son and I were able to put it together in about 5 minutes. It is really neat and the parts are very realistic. The colors are bright, the parts fit well, and the shark is a great tool for learning. I wanted it to explain animal anatomy to my son, since he loves science and whatnot, but also because it looks cool and I know he would be happy to have it in his room. Overall a great purchase!

5 year old absolutely loved doing this with me; the pieces are tiny and I had to help him keep it together, but we learned a lot, comes with informational booklet. We have it on permanent display and he loves showing it off. Great quality compared to an offbrand I saw of this at a Book Fair last week.

Cool, but not Awesome

This was much more difficult to put together than I expected. We put together a ton of stuff this Christmas including complicated Lego sets, and this was by far the hardest. It is not something intended for play and is really a display model. After reading other reviews I knew this when I purchased it, so we are happy with that. My biggest problem is the picture shows the shark's insides being very clear but, when put together, there is actually a purple piece of liver that covers many of the organs. I had expected the contents of the shark's stomach to show when it was on display as well, so we were disappointed by that.

We bought this as a birthday gift for our 8 year old grandson who's REALLY into sharks. He unwrapped this gift and then didn't want any of his other gifts. He was even unwilling to bypass his shark birthday cake in order to put it together. This will be a HIT with any shark lover - very educational, very engaging. I didn't rate it as much "fun" because you really don't play with it but it's in his room, he's taken it to school for show and tell and it's my understanding that he takes it places with him to show others. This gets a 5 star rating from us on most of the categories listed above.

These are SO amazing! My son got this and the dolphin ones (the orca we wanted but they were WAY overpriced due to markups...). Great for amteuer marine biogists and make really interesting display pieces! We got the light boxes from ikea to display these!
