Nice idea - doesn't work - maybe for kittens

WE love this. Our cats do not. The entry is too small for them and they feel quite comfortable jump in up and then down into a hole. We have turned the plane on it's side so they can run in and out of the side entries and we removed the wings. I'm not sure how long this will last as a couple of part have already come off or come apart. It was a bit of a disappointment actually - but i so badly want to love it! perhaps better for kittens - my boys are 8.

Cute but not all that practical

My cats don't want much to do with this airplane unfortunately but the three times they've been in it (in the six months we've owned it) it's been really cute for taking pictures. They don't really enjoy it though because it's a stiff cardboard. They like to rub their faces on it and that's about it.

It was also quite an effort to put together.

It was an okay purchase but I wish the hole for the cats was a little bigger so they would feel less nervous jumping in.

If you like disappointment, you'll LOVE this purchase!

I was excited to receive this new contraption for my cats to enjoy. It arrived quickly (possibly eager to sow the seeds of utter disappointment) and completely intact. The seller is efficient and prompt with delivery. When I opened the box and removed the pieces, I was delighted to find that the "instructions" were printed on what might as well have been microfiche, and seemed to radiate a sense of smugness, as if to say, "Look, if you can't take these basic, tiny, 2D images and decipher exactly how to apply them to a complex construction project, then you might want to simply eat this cardboard Pandora's box and take a nap until the rage subsides."

Once the process of construction began, with me filling in the blanks the miniature guide to madness left to my imagination, it became readily apparent that duct tape would, as always, be the saving grace in this developing nightmare. Having shored up the joints and latch points weakened in the building of the main body, I presumed, to the shame of my ego and manhood, that this would mark the end of the rage-inducing portion of this fool's errand. How I wish I could go back and tell my then-self to simply burn the rest of the pieces to save myself the effort and humiliation of completing the box-plane that my cats would ultimately eschew entirely once I triumphantly placed it before their judgemental noses.

The propeller required me, a blurry and rushed YouTube video and a professor of cardboard engineering to complete, and reminded me that I have much better things to do with my life than raise my blood pressure for dubious rewards. Wing and tail portions of the aircraft mocked my earlier frustrations by being TOO easy to complete, but at least I was done and could present this marvel of painted cardboard, filled with the rage and frustration it absorbed while under construction, to my insanely curious cats.

Placed on the floor, in an open area where they could inspect it at their leisure, one of my girls gave it a quick sniff and apparently deemed it unworthy of her attention, because she stalked off and proceeded to lick her own hiney, showing me that she felt the same way about this thing that I did. The other cat, having a greater sensitivity to ghosts, cold spots and regions of lingering rage in inanimate objects, wouldn't even enter the room or look directly at the thing.

Thinking I would be clever and force the issue, I picked up the hiney-licking cat, obviously allowing her to complete her more important task first, and placed her in the plane to obtain some photographic evidence that this was a viable purchase. Several blurry shots, an overturned plane and two broken wings later, and my cat escaped, giving me murderous looks on her way of of the room. It then occurred to me that all photos of felines enjoying time in these contraptions are contrived and probably led to bandages and gauze.

In the future, if I want to share photos of my cats peeking adorably from some cartoonish version of a vehicle, regular old cardboard boxes and Photoshop are preferable to the time, energy, money and anti-anxiety meds that are at the core of this abomination.

Cats don't like it

I have 7 cats; none of them will get inside this and they all love boxes. So, wasted $

There is no bottom to it. Cats like to hide in the

In things and they cannot do that with this. Propellers broke immediately. I paid a lot money for something I could have made myself.

Cute, but agree with the other reviews - once you get through the challenge of assembly, it's really just for small cats/kittens. Shame, because it really is cute!

The photo alone is priceless, and so I just had to get this hilarious-looking cat toy--gave it as a present. I understand it took a bit to assemble it, but it was worth it--the cats love it and we humans love looking at them IN it! Can't go wrong with this darling playhouse for your mewer!

Totally unusable, unfortunately

Cool looking, but the interior is much too small and slippery. The cavity is small, slick, and sloped from the front of the plane to the tail and the tabs from wings and tail parts protrude into the already inadequate space. Not comfy looking at all; my cats won't have anything to do with it, and they LOVE cardboard boxes. It was maddening to assemble and takes up a lot of floor space (which would be fine if the interior was at all usable).
