My standard poodle had a "human" treadmill, but it wasn't quite long enough fir his natural stride, his hind paws would keep flipping off the back. This is more than long enough! And he clearly enjoys his daily 30-min workouts because he licks his chops when I say, "Let's go treadmill!" He gets several of his favorite treats after getting on the treadmill, and during the first few minutes of slower warmup.

He also gets 5 min. of cool-down at a walk. I do sit right next to him, holding his leash & giving him occasional praise. (Good chance for some reading)

This seems to be an excellent product, sturdy & well-made.

Note: I keep it unplugged after every use, ever since his human treadmill got fried by a lightning strike!

Terrific Dog Treadmill

My GSD, Winston,had another brand of treadmill which wasn't even close to the quality of the PetZen. The customer service of PetZen is also unequaled, whereas the other one was non-existent.

Winston absolutely loves running at a pretty fast trot on it every morning. The first 10 minutes he trots with no incline, then the 2nd 10 minutes he does it at the 7% incline which helps his back quarters get stronger. When the weather is good, we walk and have fun outdoors, but even then with his energy level, he does the treadmill for a short trot. This PetZen has been a saving grace 'cuz when I'm at work, he doesn't get into anything he shouldn't, because he's too relaxed/tired.

We had a slight problem with the treadmill in the beginning, but their service was so fast in taking care of the problem, that we only lost one morning of running.
