It's ok. I know better than to buy according to the size chart. My 80 pound boxer is more golden retriever / bulldog size (XL) rather than mastiff / Great Dane size (XXL) according to the guide from the maker. XL on my boxer is a joke. It's tight enough that he won't move now that it's on. Look at his face in the picture! He wears a fleece with a Velcro closure without that face.
I will gift it to a smaller female boxer we know.

Medium- 12lb Terrier

I am very pleased with this hoodie. The material is identical to what a human hoodie would be made out of. I went back and forth on what size to get my dog. She is a 12lb terrier with a lean build and the sizing chart would have recommended a small. If the arms are too tight my dog WILL NOT walk in the outfit. Luckily I got her the medium and it fits a little baggy (like a hoodie would) and she is comfortable in it. The length of the sweater goes down the entire length of her back, but isn't too long on her. I would not recommend this sweater for a male dog as the belly fabric is not altered to allow them to use the bathroom. I've uploaded a photo too! :)

i got a small for my minpin & it is totally awesome! i love how its exactly like a human hoodie meaning same fabric & nice soft inside. extremely well made & seems it will last for a very long time. my minpin loves it too!

Not going to lie, I was a little displeased when I saw my husband spent $40 to buy our three dogs hoodies. LITTLE DID I KNOW THESE ARE A LIFE NECESSITY AND CUTE AS HELL. And this is coming from a person who generally does not approve of clothing dogs.

Pros

Durable fabric; can withstand machine washing rough playing

Can use to clothe a barking dog to make seem less annoying

Soft; My dogs genuinely seem to enjoy how cozy the material is. They actively push their heads through the head hole when we put the sweaters on.

Great Foundation for Pet Costume

I ordered this hoodie in "Bluebird" and the color was perfect for my cat's Sully (from Monster's Inc) costume! I know the sizing is for dogs, but I have a medium-sized cat and the size Small was perfect since he has the extra fluff!

The hoodie is a great foundation to creating a fun and unique pet costume. I used felt that I bought from the craft store and appliqued them onto the hoodie and it worked well with the fabric of this hoodie. I just wish they had the pocket in the belly, but I guess it doesn't make sense for a four-legged companion. Or maybe if there was an option for a pet hoodie with no pocket at all since it's not really necessary. The pocket got in the way of me putting more spikes down his back because the pocket got in the way of my hand sewing.

Would love it if they also offered these in yellow or white! I was thinking of making a Baymax or Pikachu costume next!

Per size chart I bought XXLin gray. My dog's measurements are:
21-22" neck
31" girth
26-27" back
16" underbelly
65-71Lbs (varies)

The back was a bit long but in okay with that in fact I prefer it to be long vs short. All other areas fit well except the underbelly which was way too loose and too long!

I returned it and ordered one size down an XL in red. The underbelly on the XL was good the back was a tad shorter than what I prefer but what I really couldn't overlook was how tight the fit was in his chest and his neck. He's a skinny boy but has a big build and a lot of scruf to his neck. It was also tight to his front arms around his armpits.
*i ended up returning both size options-still on the hunt.

Cute and functional

Aw, my little siamese cat buddy looks so cute in this and it helps with his anxiety a lot. Double bonus! I use this as a 'thunder vest' type shirt for my cat who can't seem to handle the darkness/silence that comes with human bedtime very well. He sleeps like an angel right next to me when he wears this... rages and howls all night if I forget to put it on. I don't forget to put it on very often!!

I ordered this in a small and that should fit most cats 8-14lbs. It's good quality and is long enough for a cat's torso. Most small dog/cat sweaters aren't very long and only fall about halfway down their backs. This covers most of their belly and I think that is comforting, at least for my kitty.

I will be buying more!

As the weather is cooling down, I noticed my puppy starting to shiver at night; nothing terrible, but I knew with winter (and snow!) approaching, she would need something for walks and lounging at home to keep her warm. For reference, she is a 6 month old 35 lb lab/collie mix. I had trouble finding reviews with dogs in this size range, so I guessed she'd be a large. It fits alright, and for the price I'm happy. It's very long, reaching all the way to the front of her hindlegs; any longer and she'd pee on it! But thankfully she doesn't; I can't imagine this would work without alteration on a boy dog. It's a tad snug in the shoulder, and I'm positve she'll grow out of it, but an XL would be too long for her current size. Cute and good for the price! Overall I'm pleased.

Broad chested dog sizing

For anyone with a broad-chested dog, I wanted to post a review in case it helps. I have a 77 pound rescued pit mix that is broad-chested, but kinda stubby. I ordered an XXL, but tailored it to fit him. He could not have gotten into a smaller size due to the chest width, but it was way too long for him, so I ended up cutting it off just above the pocket. Then I sewed velcro so that I can tuck each side up to avoid getting his back paws hung up inside the hoodie. It works great for him. I'm not a great seamstress, but I just want him to be warm in the house, I don't care so much how it looks. I have a coat for him if it's cold outside, but if I don't feel like taking this off of him when we go out for a walk, I just pull the back up to his shoulders so he doesn't pee on it.
