Totally misleading and frauduent

The ad stated Rhode Island Novelty 5" syringe pens, 60 pack. What I received was 1 pen. When I contacted the seller they stated the ad was for only 1 pen and they were sorry I misunderstood the ad. How could you NOT misunderstand it!? Where does it state only 1 pen. Notice the "s" on pens and the words "60 pack". This is a scam! I paid $5.98 for one cheap plastic pen?! I can't believe Amazon would continue to allow this seller on their site after they advertise PENS and 60 PACK and mail out 1 pen. I have filed a complaint and will continue to follow up. This is Totally misleading and they should stopped!!!!!

very cheap quality, awesome idea though

Do not expect to get what you paid for with these. I was excited when my order arrived within days of being placed. That subsided when I opened the package. The quality is so poor!

The colored liquid (in my shipment = red, yellow, green, blue) had leaked out on probably 1/2 of them. I didn't take them out of the "display case", so I didn't count exact numbers. Their picture led me to believe it was a nice sturdy display case, but it is very thin plastic. And I can't imagine it holding the pens if I were to take the lid off... But don't get me wrong, my biggest issue is with the pens themselves, not the case.

I don't understand why others rated it 3+ stars. By all means, purchase these if you like, but do not expect a high quality item.

The pens themselves write well, in black ink.

EDIT - 4/17/11

After contacting the seller (who was amazingly helpful) I was informed that the fill level for the colored liquid could not be guaranteed. Something I would have like noted on the item description before I purchased. I wouldn't expect them to be exact or perfect, but there certainly shouldn't be any with less that 1/4 of liquid of all the rest.

After opening the case, I noted 12 were cracked outright causing the leaks. The seller replaced these right away.

I was disappointed because you would think that if they're 60 pens, and they're were 4colors each, blue ink, yellow ink, red ink, green ink, they're should of been least. 15 pens of each color, nope, they're were more blue ink and red ink on the set, Also about 6 poems, the color in the chamber was almost gone or not equal to the same amount in all of them. Also the plastic box that is hold them neatly and make the display of the poems on a desk or whatever like on the website is nothing but cheap flimsy plastic with scotch tape holding it up.Finally the more pens you out to share or give away, the plastic flimsy doesn't stay intact and neat,all of pens fell out and I gave up trying to make them look neat again. don't advertise things in one way and send your customers order in another way . eventually you wont have any, I refuse to waste my time trying to return this because I doubt I will change my mind about ordering again from this company. they just lost a customer unless the can make up for their mistakes by impressing me with something else they sell.

No leaks or cracks here!

I ordered the big 60 pack because I know I'm going to share some of these with friends and family. Mine all write in black and they appear to have a uniform amount of liquid across the board for mine. They don't seem fragile which I read others talking about. Yea, the counter display sucks. I'm using it as a holding container for on my desk. I found if you take the lid that covers the top and 4 sides and put the bottom display INSIDE the lid it's much more stable and you don't have to worry about it catching on anything like if you walk by and a T-shirt might catch the item. My odd find is that if I lay one of the pens on its side the area of air within the liquid section seems to get condensation. Mine arrived with no cracks or leaks in the package.

These are some of the coolest pens I've ever bought. It all started with a conversation that my boyfriend's mother had a red one that wrote in red. I was talking to a friend about them and he bought a smaller package of them I think (I know he bought some, I just don't know how many he bought).

Disgustingly horrible quality - DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. Not only was I MISSING FOUR PENS, but FIVE were broken. There is no evidence of liquid or coloring in the package (even with having five pens broken). The only logical explanation is that they packed the pens with the knowledge that they were broken.

Of the remaining pens, they were all poor quality. If you look at the picture with the blue background, you can see the gunk build-up - this is true of EVERY SINGLE pen.

Not to mention, there is NO display pad - they came in a ziplop baggie (that had been punctured with holes multiple times. This product is NOT AS ADVERTISED. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

A Complete Waste

I ordered these pens specifically from this seller expecting them to come in a display case and to write in black ink as advertized. Nether was accurate. The pens were cheaply made, as I expected, but there was no display case so I had nowhere to display them when giving them to my nurses as a gift and the pens wrote in blue ink rendering them completely useless at work! I am angry that Amazon allows sellers to post false advertizing and disappointed at the fact that my idea for a cute gift turned into nothing but a disaster! I would have given zero stars if I could. Don't waste your money!

Great for the price

This was an exceptionally great deal, especially when you take into account that the shipping was free with Amazon Prime. The pens write very well and having the assortment of colors was a plus. A couple came broken , which is definitely to be expected. But having only 3 broken of the 90 that I ordered was no big deal. It was good that there was a stand that holds the pens, although the stand was simply some perforated plastic. It definitely did the job, but the stand appeared to be more of a sturdy acrylic-type stand in the pictures online. Overall, very happy. I gave them as favors to the kids to whom I was speaking at a career day event at a local elementary school. Kids thoughts they were great!

I purchased this 60 pack and gave them away as nursing gifts on National Nurses Day at the hospital. Everyone was so excited and really liked that they are writing pens. Writes smooth as a fine point with each one having black ink yet in a different colored syringe body. Great price for a large quantity when gift giving. I purchased this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

I ordered this pen for a friend for one of the 8 crazy nights of Hanukkah, but didn't tell her anything was on the way. I got a message from her yesterday saying she JUST got a small suspicious package in the mail that had no sender information other than it was mailed from Hong Kong. It was also leaking green fluid. She immediately threw it down called the police, and went screaming to her husband for help because she refused to get her baby out of the car for fear of being contaminated with some kind of chemical. Note to seller: Needs better packaging that doesn't cause cops being called, and PTSD. I would have liked to have been able to pick the color as well, maybe a small unmarked package leaking red fluid instead of green would have made it less traumatic?! The product and packaging gets one star, but I'm giving an overall rating of three because my friend's reaction made me laugh so hard that I peed my pants, and I needed a laugh.

Cheap looking & many broken

18 of the 60 pens were broken in some way. Many had no colored liquid, ink pens would not stay down & many were cracked. Also there was no display case in the box. They look so cute in the picture, but look quite cheap in person. My kids do love the useable ones though!
