Can't live without it.

I use my Cocoon organizer every day that I work. I am a court reporter and I have a very small bag that I must carry all of my gear. My gear consists of a steno machine, steno-machine stand, laptop, cables, cords, external hard drives, microphones, et cetera. There are a lot of "bits and pieces" that don't fit in my bag in an organized fashion. This organizer makes all of my little gear easily accessible and organized. Also, as I am packing up, when I use my Grid-it Cocoon, everything I own has a place that is organized and has a habitual place in my Cocoon. If I have a missing space in my Cocoon organizer, I know I've left something behind and I know what that missing item is. There are days where I work late and my mind is in a spin due to the day's events. I know because of this organizer that I will not leave my job without my gear because I know where everything belongs and if there's a missing space, uh-oh, I am missing something... I've attached my picture of how I use my Cocoon.

Great organizer for travelling.

I strapped in my Canon M50 camera body, lens (in a separate slot), Gopro Hero 7 Black, 2 power banks, Gopro charger for 3 batteries, microphone for Gopro, an external hard drive, small flashlight, with some room to spare. Excellent grip, things don't fall out even with some brisk shaking. My only issue is that it curves a little inwards because of the tension from the bands. I know this just follows the laws of physics but maybe it's possible to strengthen the backing so it becomes rigid and doesn't bend? The loaded organizer actually takes up more space in, say, a backpack when it's bent.

A zillion applications

And here are just three ways we've used them: My husband has all of his various technology items stored on two of them, one 11x15 and the other 8x12. Our son, a photographer, uses two 8x12's to help organize all of his various cords, batteries and chargers, etc. And I have just discovered that an 8x12 is EXCELLENT for organizing my cosmetics for travel, instead of dumping them into a cosmetic bag that I often have to dump out on the bathroom counter in the hotel so I can find what I need. We LOVE our Grid-Its! Not only does the weave of the straps offers lots of options for different sized items, the underside of the elastic has a mild sticky factor that helps keep items from slipping out. The 8x12's even have a zippered pocket on the back, where you could store manuals, or other small supplies, or a small make-up mirror! Being able to SEE everything is such a time saver. I've recommended them to everybody I know. (And now I'm even recommending them to people I DON'T know!)

A very useful travel companion

A very handy holder for a variety of different objects. At eight ounces it seems a bit heavy, but it is so solidly built that I can forgive the extra weight. I especially like that fact that the back is solid; that protects the various objects in my nylon back pack and prevents them from pushing against the fabric and perhaps being broken.

On a table in a hotel -- everything in sight and everything easy to see and put back again.

As a practical matter, this would be worth five stars but I like my Lay-N-Go Mini COSMO Cosmetic Bag, Black which is much lighter and when it is open and lying flat everything is equally retrievable.

I tend to carry the cosmetic bag with me more often, but either organizer fills the bill nicely.

Read lotta reviews before buying it. Many said it was heavy, it smelled, etc. honestly, I didn't have any of those problems. 15x11in and 1lb. Fits perfectly in my computer bag (High Sierra Tactic Backpack). I put my hard drive, portable charger, Mac charger, multiple cables (HDMI, aux cord, charger, etc) and even tried putting my Mac Disk drive in it. While it does fit, it's not meant for larger things as they tend to fall off. Aside from that, everything else was firmly held, nothing fell out after roughly shaking it, and it feels well built. I definitely recommend it. It's more than enough for your everyday needed items for your computer bag. Pairs great with the HS Tactic Bag. Second large pocket has perfect dimensions to have it dedicated for this Grid-It, accompanying your computer, tablet, and phone.

Great Way of Organizing Essential Gadgets!

I love the idea of this product! I got it recently to hold my essential gadgets and it has served me well. The bands are sturdy, not loose, and holds my gadgets very securely. I've tried shaking it and all my things stayed in place. I also like the way all my gadgets look on this as it is organized. It's versatile and can organize your gadgets many different ways. I keep it in my everyday backpack and it fits perfectly. I almost feel as if I could carry more things while avoiding a messy clutter in my backpack. I haven't had any complaints about this product yet!

Best way to stay organize

This is my second Grid-It and I love it. I got it for a larger backpack I have. The reason I got it is because my backpack is a top loader and unless I have Grid It with me, all the items get mixed and it becomes a mess. I carry a mackbook charger with me, a mouse, wd passport hard drive, usb charger and wires as well as few other little things like a flash drive and a stylus on a daily basis to work and Grid It keeps everything organized. I basically take everything out in one move instead of going though multiple small pockets and I am ready to work. The only thing I don't like is that the whole thing flexes a little bit, because of all the pressure going in one direction, so it's not completely straight. Otherwise functionally it's totally perfect.

Good for flat items, bows when used with thicker items

Love the concept of this, but here's the problem: when you load it up with things, all that pulling on the elastic on one side causes the entire thing to bow out. So now you have something that takes up a lot more room in a bag than it's supposed to.

I think if all you used it for was cords and flat items, the bowing wouldn't occur. But I have some chargers and a small camera and thicker (up to an inch thick) items in mine.

Decided to buy one of the ones that folds in half and zippers closed like a book. That seems to be a better design.

A really cool and useful organiser!

If you are always dumping your gadgets and stuffs into your bag and then having a hard time to find the items or maybe you have all your cords and wires tangled up, then i guess this product should be quite useful for you.

It enables you to organise your stuffs such as USB cables, thumb drives, charges, pens, portable HDD and many more. I've really enjoyed using it and love the way my stuffs look organised and easy to find. :)

I've been using it for quite a while but so far the straps is still elastic and working well, I can only wonder how long this can really last but I'm happy with this purchase nevertheless !

Super useful way to organize your tech.

This is my absolute favorite way to carry my electronics. It help me organize my tech and free up space in the other compartments in my backpack. I was originally concerned that the elastic for stretch out and lose its ability to hold onto my stuff but this is not the case. I will be ordering another one of their products when I start my new job so that I can separate my work tech and my play tech
