Part 1: Got it and started to install. A lot not mentioned in the instructions, guess that is why they say leave it to the pros. Good looking outfit and has a lot of features that come in handy. First thing, when buying a wireless camera for the back, get one with both transmitter and reciever. You will need the reciever for the mirror part. It does mention that the receiver for the mirror will need to be hooked up to the reverse switch. Finding that is difficult and since a lot of cars have a stick shift you would have to take the console apart to do that. Hard to do but not impossible. Simplest thing to do is wire both the transmitter and receiver to the same power supply. Unfortunately that means running the power from the backup light clear up front. Kind of defeats the "wireless part". Since the transmitter is only powered up when in reverse that is the only time you need power for the receiver. If you power the receiver up from the fuse block you cannot use the GPS or other features because the receiver is on all the time. It is like haveing the TV on and no signal. I am having to power it from the backup light. Low voltage and amperage so light duty speaker wire will do the job. Will post more once I complete the instillation.

Part 2: Completed the install. Was not a hard as I thought, yet not a piece of cake either. Worked fine powering from backup light for the receiver module. Instant on and instant off for the camera. I reccomend using the mirror mount that is included with the unit. If you clamp it to the existing mirror, depending on where the existing one is installed, it may be under the metal roof line and you probably will not get a good GPS signal. I used the new mount. What I have figured out works fine. The Camera is good and with a great field of view and the GPS works fine. Have not tried the other features, yet. Do reccomend reading the manual, at least briefly to learn a little about it before doing much as far as programing. Saves time in the long run. Glad I bought it. Put this on an 05 Nissan Sentra. My F150 Lariat and the wife's Rav4 spoiled me with the GPS, Blue Tooth, Camera and MP3 and this did the same for a WHOLE lot less. About $250 total. Not as fancy as the factory but works almost as good. Would I buy it again. Yes.

was Great until it Stopped working...

I truly LOVED this mirror! I took it to a mechanic for installation; quick and inexpensive! The gps powered on and off with the car, and I was even able to have my pandora and cell phone bluetooth (handsfree talkin) play through the mirror's audio. After 6 months of my fabulous mirror, it all of suddent stopped working. No clue why!!! Ugh! has anyone else experienced such?

Works but breaks easily

So far I have replaced the thing 3 times. The first with a broken mic, the second, it worked for over a month and then the screen started to flash on and off. And the third which I just received, the back up camera screen does not work. It shows a blank black screen. Hopefully this 4th one will work... It works but badly made... a bit disappointed.

Update

The last one we received has been working for a while now. Everything is working fine and the screen does not flash. I guess you will have to keep replacing it till the right one comes. When it is working I give it a 5 star because the mirror is clear and the back up camera is clear. The navigation is also pretty easy to use.

Easy to install just slide off the old one and put this one in it's place. I ran the wire around the window and ran the power off the fuse box. Just test the one that is always on and one that is turned on with key. It looks nice works great and you can do it in about an hour or just plug it in to the socket. The back-up cam is easy too just hook it up to the back-up wire connected to the bulb and your done. Everyone wants me to put one in for them.

The updates for the maps or any other updates for this mirror is no longer up and running ([...]). I personally called BOYO (rearview mirror/GPS Manufacturer and they told me that the NAVMATE map people went out of business....so beware before you buy.

Dispaly is not caliberated with rear camera

I had this unit mated to a boyo rear camera and the display was only 120 degree or so. Definitely insufficient. It was installed professionally. The installer did not feel comfortable ripping out the rear view mirror out from a spanking new 2014 car and clipped this on instead. It came off and dangled from the wire the first time I went to adjust it. Therefore, unless you do rip out the original mirror, don't waste your time or money. So I bought a Pioneer head unit to replace the factory unit and everything works well.

The Boyo license frame camera, which I rated 5/5, works well with the new head unit but not with the mirror.

clunky user interface

bought as birthday gift for wife and pro installed on new Honda fit. Also bought the rearview camera.

The camera works great.

The gps, however, is almost impossible to program. Often, the "typed" letters or numbers for the address do not go in and the key must be pressed multiple times. Forget about this while driving, it's very difficult when parked.

The software doesn't know some city names (like mine) and refers to zip codes. It apparently has an incomplete grasp of streets also, we tried "Dallas Parkway" in Addison under "Dallas" and "Addison" with no luck.

The buttons are small and on a couple of occassions, we just gave up.

If you actually get the correct address programmed, the gps performs ok. The voice doesn't say the street names, but they are written on the map. I tried the bluetooth function and couldn't get it to do anything. I am not saying it doesn't work, but it's certainly not something so intuitive that it could be accomplished short of intensive manual study (and the manual isn't too great either).

I don't know if the maps can ever be updated, there is nothing about that which I have seen and the boyo website is almost non existent.

Long story short, for this much money, this unit is not ready for prime time, and compared to a garmin, it's just junk. Sorry.

Horrible glare in daylight. Can not see in daytime.

Can't see the monitor for reverse camera or navigation during the day. Screen is so reflective it just makes it impossible to use unless dark outside. Would NOT buy this at any price.

camera works well picture quality isn't the best , not the simplest installation navigation very accurate small screen over all not bad for the price
