Definitely Fogless, with a couple negatives
by P. S. (4 out of 5 stars)
June 15, 2013

Let me say I've used this mirror for OVER 2 YEARS now. And have gone through 2 of them and am now on my 3rd. Clearly I like them so I'll tell you what I do and don't like about them.

Positives:
+ Definitely FOGLESS, this design is the only way to truly get a fogless mirror in the shower.
+ Securely attaches to the wall
+ Tilt function
+ Price, while $25 isn't exactly a giveaway, nothing else competes at this pricepoint

Negatives:
- It is all plastic, not a bad negative, but don't expect solid construction and plan on replacing it (see below)
- Adhesive is difficult to remove. If you ever need to move, you will need to remove the silicone which is tough to remove and if renting could result in damage fees
- The tilt function eventually gets "weak" and requires purchasing a new unit or else the mirror will fall into the most downward facing position when full

Conclusion:

This is a great mirror as long as you understand the removal process requires some work. A razor blade and some goo-gone will NOT do it. Also wish the construction of the tilt mechanism was more solid construction instead of plastic that wears out in a few months causing the mirror to be stuck in the downward position. All-in-all though, for $25 I don't mind buying a new one about every year. Don't expect this to be one of those products that lasts a lifetime, and if you do remove it, expect a hassle. I give it 4 stars because it truly is fogless, the price is right, but the product needs to be more durable for a 5-star review.

Note: keep in mind I have been using this product for years, unlike other reviewers who have been using it for a couple weeks. Sure I would've given it 5-stars then as well, not knowing how it would break and be hard to remove. So I hope this helps give you the full picture!

UPDATED REVIEW: SELLER UPDATED THEIR PRODUCT! The product was updated in that the entire back side is now a "sticker" that you peel off and stick to the wall, instead of the silicone adhesive that was previously used. This is good for being easier to remove from the wall, but worse in that the sticker isn't re-usable vs the old style you could just apply more silicone adhesive.

Impossible to remove, will destroy your tile
by YMD (1 out of 5 stars)

As a fogless mirror, great. A bit cheapy, very plasticy, and the mirror bends a bit, but it works. It's a clever system for being fogless and does what it needs to.

It's attached via an adhesive. You peel the sticker a off the back and then apply it to the tile. I attached it in a shower in our apartment. After half a year we moved out and I had to remove it. Oh boy...

The adhesive is like if blue tac was designed to hold together spaceships. If an unstoppable forcr were to be glued to something using this adhesive, physics would break.

I spent $20 on putty knives and tile and glass scrapers and had to spend over an hour trying this off the tile and then scraping off the remains. Their website FAQ recommends using four putty knives, one from each corner, simultaneously...

I managed to get it off the wall at some point but the tile behind it is significantly scraped from. Etting the adhesive residue off and I'm left hoping the complex won't charge me for damaging the tile.

If you're planning on not removing this thing until you retire the bathroom, go for it. Otherwise, save future you the headache.

Great if you like shaving in a fun house
by John Montgomery (2 out of 5 stars)

I've owned a version of ToileTree's fogless mirrors for over five years and been happy, so I thought I'd try this new larger one. It's a great idea (I like the smaller fill tank), but the quality of the "mirror" is incredibly poor and there is a huge amount of distortion. Depending upon the angle, you can have a ginormous forehead or big Jay Leno chin. It's really like being in a fun house of mirrors -- and I don't want to look at myself like that.

I'm a visual guy and I can't stand it. I've tried it for over 30 days but it bugs me and I'm gonna have to replace it.

A TRULY fog-free shower mirror!
by TechTestimony (5 out of 5 stars)
November 23, 2016

****** UPDATE *******

I've now been using this mirror for over a year. It is STILL working like a champ. I stand by my initial 5-star review and endorse it even more whole-heartedly. Instead of going through a ton of mirrors with a "fog-free" coating that will wear out, buy THIS mirror. It's a little more pricey than most but totally worth it.
************************

It works! A shower shave mirror that actually doesn't fog up - when used correctly.

Due to unfair genetics... I've had to shave my head since I was 25. I'm now 33. I've always found it easiest to shave my head in the shower, except for the fact that every "anti-fog" shower mirror eventually (some in as little as a week or two) starts fogging uncontrollably.

I've been through my fair share of shower mirrors and, so far, this is easily the best one I've used. The mirror comes in two pieces: the mirror itself, and a mounting bracket. Application is easy - no suction cups to deal with. The mounting bracket sticks to your shower wall via some double-sided tape. It secures the mirror extremely well, but I'm a little concerned about what removal is going to be like - that tape is strong. It also makes the application a little more time consuming. You need to ensure it's exactly where you want it. However, once it's up, it's up... possibly until the end of the world.

The mirror itself is pretty huge and resembles a flat-screen monitor. It's big enough that you'll get a clear view of your entire head, or face. The bracket also has a pivot, so you can tilt the mirror to the best angle. There's also a razor shelf on the mounting bracket... for your razor.

When you get in the shower, the mirror will start to fog up... I know... I said it was fog-free. The genius of this mirror is in the water reservoir behind the reflective surface. You simply pop off the mirror from the bracket and fill the reservoir with hot shower water, slide it back on the bracket, and wipe the screen with the included squeegee. Then, voila! You have a (truly) fog-free mirror.

I've only been using the mirror for a few weeks, but so far, I've been very impressed. Since the mirror isn't relying on a fog-free coating to get rid of fog, I have a feeling that I'll be using this mirror for a long time. Especially since I don't know if I'll ever be able to remove the bracket... seriously, that tape is strong.

Used it for 2 years, and I couldn't be happier.

Update:

Four years after purchase and daily use, this product looks and functions just like the day I installed it for the first time. Amazing quality and durability!

Original review:

This mirror is perfect for shaving in the shower. You fill it up with hot water from the shower, at whatever temperature you like your water, and it doesn't fog up at all. It takes 10 seconds to fill it up, and you don't have to worry about it at all till next shower. I don't empty it between showers, and that has not caused any issues. The next time you use it you just dump the cold water and replace it with hot water.

I use a shaving brush to apply shaving cream, and I use the water container that is part of the mirror to soak my brush, which makes the mirror double as a water bowl. Super convenient.

I purchased this mirror from Amazon more than two years ago, and I used daily. During the two years I moved twice, uninstalling and reinstalling the mirror in 3 different showers simply using store bought silicon to "glue" it to the tiles.

The mirror is still as functional as the day I bought it. There is no sign of water damage, scratches or any other visible damage to the mirror or any parts of the frame. The image in the mirror is sharp, and it is easy to angle and adjust.

I couldn't be happier.

Fun House mirror issue confirmed
by Andrew Duvall (2 out of 5 stars)
May 9, 2019

I should have known better after reading reviews from others that this particular model has a warped reflection. The only reason that I bought was because in one review over a month ago, I saw a response from ToiletTree that they acknowledged the design issue and thought had fixed it. Either I misread that or they are shipping out faulty remaining inventory first. I sent a message to toiletTree via the amazon message system requesting to exchange a few days ago but still no reply. I was very pleased with the original silver model, but this newer model is too distorted

Great accessory
by Kyle Albert (4 out of 5 stars)

What I like:
- Easy to use. Just lift it of the holder, fill it with hot shower water, place it back and shave.
- Uses strong adhesive so it won't randomly fall.
- Keeps my sink cleaner.

What I don't like:
- The slots are not compatible with some razors. In particular: Gilette Proshield. Would have been nice if the slots were holes instead.

Neutral:

I had the old gray version until I moved. I bought some adhesive removal spray and a wide putty knife and with a lot of pressure and patience, I was eventually able to remove it without damage. I bought the newer version which is definitely a step up but the mirror has a weird fish eye effect which I don't like.

Well.....we shall see..

Just got the product and installed it. I've had a fog-less mirror for a number of years and they never last! After reading the reviews of this product i felt optimistic. I felt a little less about it after recieving it as soon as I opened the package. It appears to have been packed well for shipping however part of the mount was broken. Unless you have one you probably won't under stand what I'm talking about. That being said. The unit comes in two pieces, the mirror itself and the mount for the wall. You attach the mount to the wall (kudos to the manufacturer on the double back tape idea!) I cleaned the surface well and stuck it on the tile wall in my shower. so far so good. The problem i have is that the channel you slide the mirror in was broken off about 3/4 of the way down on one side. Now the mirror will go in the mount and maybe hold if I don't bump it or try to tilt it to another position (which you are supposed to be able to do with ease). What i chose to do was try some super glue and put the piece back on. Hoping that will hold it. I will have to remember to be very careful when adjusting it. Hoping for the best. I've been using it for the past four days. So far it's above average. It still fogs....but i've been able to either wet it or wipe with my hand to clear it up, which is better than i could do with the old mirror. I'm giving it a two star at this point because it was broken. Now those of you that would say "you should have just returned it"...to me, the trouble wasn't worth the time and wait. Just my thoughts. If you have researched this type of mirror, you generally find that they are not cheap.....this one being on the upper middle of the price range I felt like it should have been not been broken in the first place. I will watch it over the next few months for the fog factor to change and update my review...

Test your mirror, before mounting!!!!!!!!
by God Bless Our Vets/Troops (5 out of 5 stars)
November 4, 2018

I see there are many opinions about this mirror. my review is going to be on point for a new time buyer/user.
I do not have long-term experience with this item, but I said I was going to buy an expensive fogless mirror, and I did. It is fogless.
everything about it is 'just okay'...... my advice to you, Check the mirror before you mount it!

fill it with hot water and make sure that it does not leak water around the edge of the mirror, between the frame and the mirror.

you think somebody smart would have put some silicone between the mirror and the frame so water wouldn't come out seeing if it's meant to hold water; no seal.
water (because of water pressure) seeps out fast, mine is already mounted, don't know how to return it.....

Update:
one quick email to the company and they quickly made good on the defective mirror.

I have no complaints.

Anti Fog mirror.
by Not RichChuckard (2 out of 5 stars)
November 27, 2018

First of all, finally someone that got it right when it comes to making a fogless mirror. The reservoir on the back that holds the warm water actually WORKS to make the mirror fog free. For that I give 5 stars. My 2 star rating is based off the fact my mirror is either warped on the sides, not perfectly flat or whatever. My reflection from side to side and on the top and bottom are very distorted and make using the mirror not all that useful to be really honest. Again, if you can handle the distortion at the edges, this company got the fogless part right!
