Product Description

Recommended for use by individuals at all fitness levels the Aquabilt Pool Treadmill is the most versatile and light weight pool treadmill we have ever built and can be used in any in-ground or above-ground pool. The Aquabilt Pool Treadmill is made from the highest quality materials. It is robust, motorless and maintenance free. It is uniquely designed for use in a swimming pool and will not rust or deteriorate from heavy use outdoors while submerged in pool water. Exercising on an Aquabilt allows you to fully exercise ALL of the muscles of the leg; whereas, traditional treadmills simply force you to keep up with a moving surface, which only uses a subset of your muscles. This is why serious runners and triathletes prefer running outside over training on a treadmill. The Aquabilt features RUBBER WHEELS for Really Easy TRANSPORT, IN THE POOL OR ON THE POOL DECK.

Features

  • LOWER IMPACT WORKOUT: A significant benefit to water training in a pool is buoyancy, which increases your balance and reduces impact stress on joints, bones, and muscles.
  • SAFE, EFFICIENT & FUN: Training in water produces 12x more resistance than on land. Time required to achieve the same benefit in water, as on land, is greatly reduced
  • BURN MORE CALORIES: Burn up to 50% more calories on a water treadmill. 4 hours a week on an aquatic treadmill can help you drop approximately 44 pounds a year.

Don't buy!!!
by Big John (1 out of 5 stars)

I bought this thing thinking it'd be a great thing for my health, I've had four knee surgeries and cannot use a normal treadmill anymore because of pain. I bought this thinking that it would be easy to use and it would be effective and helping me lose some weight and get healthy again. It look nice when I got it and took it out of the box but when I put it in the pool it wouldn't stay and place well as soon as you started making a couple turns of the belt it was stop and it wouldn't move again until you really just started putting a lot of pressure and then it would go a couple turns and it did the same thing. This destroys the Rhythm of a workout the stop-and-go stuff. There's something wrong with the rollers and there's no way you can manually set them, they are set at the factory. I've sent some information to aquabilt and they said it was out of warranty and said they wanted to help but offered no solutions to actually help me. As far as I'm concerned it's $1, 000 paperweight and I would not order from this company ever again. This is an inferior product, buyers beware!!! I would give it a negative star if I could!!

I love this!

given that's live in AZ, I love beating the heat with a pool workout. I used an electric pool treadmill at an expensive resort and loved it. But at 6 k a pop, plus extra electrical work needed, I declined. I saw this and got it 2 weeks ago. Already my legs are showing great definition. It works the entire leg and lower back. Very easy to set up and move.

simple,good but a little expensive

The pool surface should be perfectly leveled otherwise it shakes.

To get the best result, I think the water level should be somewhere around your chest level while you are running with this treadmill so measure your height and your pool's height and consider that the treadmill is1 foot heigh.

Also you need a foot wear while running..I purchased some cheap camp shoes from Walmart..the price is very high , considering the simplicity of this treadmill. But it could be a good option for people who have knee pains.

In winters and cold weather you can not use it , it's cold to go to your pool..

Easy to use and install

I just put the A2000 into my pool. It was very easy to install. The longer it's in the pool the more stable it becomes. Easy to use but slippery at first. Takes a bit getting used to. A good product

a pleasure

I balked at the price of this manual underwater treadmill, which is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Assembly was simple - just put the handle bar on. Then drop 'er in! Was a bit heavy to lift up over the edge of our above ground pool, but with two people we did it. The machine works very smoothly, feels great on the feet, and there is nothing like exercising in water. It does tend to move easily in the water, so be careful not to use it for leverage. That said, it can easily be relocated in the pool with a simple push or pull.

Not for rehab after surgery or injury
by N. Deed (1 out of 5 stars)

Buyer beware! This looks like a great idea for water rehab right? But unless the bottom of your pool is completely flat, this unit will slide, move ,following the grade of the pool until you are in over your head. It was an expensive mistake. When I contacted the company, he suggested I use the rug non skid mat. It didn't work. Once the unit fills up with water, trying to lift it out of the water is very difficult. I quickly concluded this could injure me as I was using it. I am 5'2, 118 lb. the design and motion from water along with the grade in the pool, quickly put my head under water. Please, if you try this, make sure you have rescue help with any rehab use. Underwater, the tread feels un stable even with water shoes.

Truly amazing!!!

We recently bought a house with a pool, but I'm not a very good swimmer. I have a Precor treadmill, which I enjoy using; however, when I learned of the Aquabilt treadmill, I thought this could really allow me to get more use out of my new pool. I have not been disappointed!

The treadmill required almost no assembly (just stick the support bar into the treadmill and it is ready to drop in the pool), is lightweight (even my wife can easily move it around), and provides an invigorating workout (without any chance of feeling overheated). The Aquabilt really provides a superior workout to my land-based treadmill. If you have a pool, you must get one.

The treadmill also seems to be very solidly constructed and has no motor to burn out, so I'll be curious to learn how well it holds up over time. I'm assuming very well.

Great workout when you are nursing an injury
by Wendy C. (5 out of 5 stars)
August 7, 2010

I'm an avid runner but recently injured my knee and couldn't run. A friend recommended the Aquabilt and I tried it out and it is amazing. i can get my runs in and keep up my training but with no pain. I love it! My knee has healed but I'm continuing to use the Aquabilt as part of my training regimen so I don't injur it again. I think every runner should use this! [...]

I was disappointed in quality of unit
by Carol Stroud (2 out of 5 stars)

I was disappointed in quality of unit. The name brand label came off first week. Unit isn't very heavy and floats around in pool when not in use.
