No screwing just push and lock in place. To disconnect just push and pull out. The Walky dog plus Lets you walk your dog and ride your bike at the same time. Length of Leash is Adjustable Can add 6.5 Inches by taking out 2 springs inside the Steel Wand that will allow extra leash length. The walky dog plus comes just at the right safe distance to keep the dog close to your bike but you can always let the leash out some. Keeping your dog close to the side of your bike on a short leash prevents the dog from getting in front of the bike and or behind the bike. Its not recommended the use of the walky dog for children under the age of 18 years old or children weighing less than 45 kg/100 lbs. The use of walky dog by children must be done under strict supervision of adults. Its not recommended the use of walky dog for puppies under the age of 12 months and / or weighing less than 15 kg / 33 lbs. Its recommended that the weight of the person is greater than at least 35 kg / 77 lbs compared to the weight of the dog

I have what may be the most hyper, puppy-dumb, yellow lab. She also weighs around 75 lbs. I'm not a very confident bike rider since I have only rode a bike a handful of times between 14 and 43 years of age. My dog took to this within minutes. She has tried to take off after another dog - I did not become fodder for a YouTube fail video. She stopped abruptly to scratch her ear, and again, it didn't knock me off of the bicycle. I have held off of an activity that I love for years because I had such guilt leaving my sweet dog at home, especially since she is home alone all day while I work. Now we can both get the exercise we desperately need and enjoy ourselves in the process. This is easily the best $60ish that I've spent in a long time.

This is an amazing tool for all dog owners. My German shepherd loves to run. There's no way for me to run with him I can't keep up. Taking him to the dog park isn't always a good idea, I never know what other dogs will be there and if they will get along. This way both of us get Exercise and spend time together.

I first connected his collar to the hook, then walked my bike about 20 feet or so, just enough for him to see he was connected and should walk along side of the bike. When I saw he wasn't nervous or confused I got on the bike and began to ride. It just clicked. He knew instantly what was going on. The first turn I did very wide to get him used to turning with it. It only took once and he understood

Sturdy, quick and easy to use!

Before I got this attachment I broke an arm cycling with my dog. After I got it, it has been sooooo much more secure and safer than just using a leash. This gives you a lot more control and stablilty. I have used it in my dog as well as several other dogs I sit and they love it! I loved it so much I went ahead and got a second Walky for my other bike. I leave the attachment piece on when I am not cycling with a dog and just disconnect the stick. It is super quick and easy. I have not tested this with the 120lb malamute that I sit, so perhaps I will update this after that and we will see how durable it really is.

There are only 2 people in this world that can touch my dog.......me or my boyfriend and that is it. He kinda freaks out just a tad bit skittish from his past (he's a rescue) so I wasn't sure how he would take being strapped to a bike. My neighbor witnessed his maiden voyage and she said she could tell he would do ANYTHING for me. He loves me. I love him too! We are buddies and now I can give him the excerise he so craves. We go every day and he loves it. Before his bike running he would get into trouble when I was at work making messes in the house but now he is calmer more relaxed not so mental (Boston Terrier) I personally think that all dogs at least 25 pounds will love this contraption. Starting out just do what I did and go in a circle running the dog like a horse. It's a dog not a person okay so don't freak out or your dog will pick up on your energies. Pro-tip.......the second outing I didn't take him for a potty walk prior to the run so he ended up taking a dump that ended up spanning about 15 feet of spread out pellets (think of a rabbit but not that many pellets) I should have walked him so he could poop first. Someone saw too. I felt him slow down but he somehow managed to poop running although I was only in 1st gear it was still a trot for him. Poor guy but he forgave me. So yea, walk your dog first for bathroom relief and then do the run. I only wish I would have discovered this item sooner I love it and so does my dog.

This is a game changer. My husky used to be able to pull when a squirrel ran and I was always concerned he would get hit by a car while biking beside me. This leash holds the dog very close to the bike and it mounts under the seat, so the body weight of the rider adds more stability and control over the dog if they decide to see an animal and start chasing. Bike rides with my dog have now become a daily event and I tell all my friends and family who are interested in biking with their dog to buy this product. Amazing.

I have an extremely high drive German shorthaired pointer that I just bought it to run her into shape for hunting season. This dog is unwalkable. She pulls even on no pull harnessing. She's like driving a Ferrari in a parade. Complete frustration. Anyway, I tried this out for the first time yesterday and she did great. Went a mile and half to get acclimated to it. She tried to pull one time when she wanted to chase geese but I barely felt it on the bike and she kept trucking. This product is the best thing I've ever bought for my pup. This is a complete game changer for us.

100000/10, this product is perfect. I hooked it up to my mountain bike and introduced my 7 month old husky to it yesterday, just walking her alongside the bike on the Walky Dog. This morning we went for a short ride, just a few blocks up and down the street. She's young, so we went very slow with just a few spurts of running like in this video, and she figured it out very fast. She was fabulous, and had an absolute blast. The Walky Dog did a great job of absorbing the pull when she would get distracted and want to run towards something, so that I didn't get yanked off the bike. It kept her the perfect distance away so I was never worried about running over her paws. I will absolutely be using this for ages, and can't wait for her to grow up a bit more so we can go for real rides and fly!!

OMG! This is the best item I have ever purchased on Amazon.

I have a 10 month old Chocolate Lab who is full of energy. It took less then 5 min to get her comfortable with the Walky Dog. I had her at a full gallop next to me. This is definitely a great purchase.
