Possible knockoff, definite ripoff!!!

This thing Is junk. Its maybe worth $18 bucks at best, this is not the same product that used to be at the fishing shows four or five years back. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure this thing is not a cheap Chinese knockoff or the original company was sold off ,definitely not the same quality. The one I received was missing the burner and looked as if it was damaged before it was packed. So buyer beware. It's much cheaper just to buy a fry basket. And a cast-iron Dutch oven or a fry kit with burner, it will be cheaper, better quality, and more reliable then this piece of junk.I have included photos of the Frying Saucer's, that I was familiar with, that were built with quality, as they do not match up to this product at all.

My husband had his heart set on this so purchased it for doing a fish fry. The whole point is that once the fish is done, you can set it on the perimeter to keep warm while other fish is cooking. Unfortunately, the angle of the rim is too steep and the pieces of cooked fish wouldn't stay and kept sliding back into the oil. He is still happy with it and likes it better than trying to do on a stop-top, though.

My daughter bought one for her husband 4years ago and I was so enthused by it that I bought one for myself. This Christmas, I bought one for my oldest son. He uses it all the time. He's happy with it, too. Great item.

This arrived really fast. A couple of family members have these grills and they love them. For us, we need to buy the wind skirt as we could not keep the surface hot enough to fry in the fryer. The aluminum disk is very large and wind Keeps it cool. We also had trouble fitting it into the case. It is a tough fit.

Had a friend introduce me to this product while doing a fish fry. I thought it worked so well I purchased one myself. Indeed, it does work very well and I love it. It gets hot very quickly since it only uses 1 quart of oil. This is also a benefit if you don't want to save the oil and choose to pitch it, you are not wasting that much, as you would in a typical much larger fryer. I like the design that the edges are also hot and you can pull your food out and put in right on the ledge and server from there, while the excess oil drains off back into the center pot. Mine did come with a broken igniter wire but Mike was great and sent out another one immediately. The problem turns out to be that the wire is a little too short and when tie wrapped to the burner tube, it pulls it apart. I ended up having to grind another groove in the wind ring for this igniter wire and not tie wrap it to the burner tube assembly. Otherwise, no issues and I think it is great.

Excellent product. Works exactly as described. Took mine to the duck camp and the group insisted I leave it there. Had to get another one for myself....and another one for a friend who thought it was the best thing.
