False advertising

Ordered hyper color putty 3.2 ounces. Received a mini that looks so worn. The label is faded like it's been in the bottom of a toy bin. I'm so disappointed! Sending back. Wish I just got what I ordered. The label says 3.2 ounces on bottom but it is only .47 ounce.

Takes a lot of kneeding at first...

At first I was concerned because the putty was very stiff and hard to kneed. I almost returned it thinking I got a bad batch or something. After a while I was able to soften it with kneeding, but I couldn't seem to get the bright hot pink color. I was originally really dissappinted, but found that after playing with it on the 2nd day I started to see the color change. The more you work it, the softer and more brilliant it becomes. It might take a few days, but it'll get there. It is great to keep by my computer when I'm working.

P.S. this stuff sticks and "melts" quickly into fabric (learned from experience). To remove it, scrape off what you can and then dab it with a rubbing alcohol saturated cotton ball. It comes right off! Both my couch and pants were saved.

Great toy!

My 4 year old daughter loves this stuff. She saw it in the store one time and I decided to buy it off Amazon for her birthday, it's the one thing from her birthday that she has played with every day for the past month. I will probably buy some other types for Christmas etc. Way better than Silly Putty as you get a lot more and the tin is really nice for storage.

She has gotten it in various things, so a tip if you've found it stuck in clothing or furniture, I scratch off as much as I can, then use rubbing alcohol on it. That seems to take care of it, and if it's washable then I sprayed with stain remover and washed.

My wife loves this stuff: it helps her to meditate or relax as she plays with it. Whenever I want to brighten her day a bit I get here another BIG can of Aaron's putty in a new color. This color looks like it is two kinds in one tin, but it is not. When you open the tin it will be all the same purple color, but take off half the chunk and put it into the microwave for about a minute and it turns bright pink, for a fairly long time. And it isn't hot to the touch either. Then you can play with it, combine it, twist around the two colors for an hour or so while the small heat amount dissipates and everything turns purple again. Just don't get frustrated trying to heat it up with the heat of your hands: it takes too long and the color change isn't as bright.

My son purchased this with his own money and loves it. It does change color well with changes in temperature, isn't messy and is fun to play with. It will stick to fibers and is difficult to get out so I would not recommend this for young children. They have instructions included about the process of removing it from fabric. I do think it is overpriced for glorified silly putty, but my son thought it was worth every penny.

I love that this putty is hyper color! One of my favorite things to do with it is to work half of the putty into a warm pink glob and then put it next to (touching) the cold purple half and watch as they pull heat or cold from the other half. It's super interesting to watch.

Good, But Not Perfect!

My daughter had wanted this for a while, so I got it for her. I have to say, it is very good quality. Changes color, and is fun to play with. But, it was very hard to open, it had leaked through the cracks. And the tin dented very easily. Also, maybe not the best option for kids who are allergic to dust.

Over all, this surprised me! I thought it was going to be one of those dads that goes over quickly, but it was good quality.

Now my daughter is trying to convince me (and doing a good job of it) to buy Candy Apple thinking putty. I have a feeling we will become a Crazy Aaron family soon!

Daughter loves this kind of stuff! Still good after a few months! Has not hardened or picked up to much lint. Great stress relief! She plays with it as she concentrates. Helps focus her.

Kids are drawn to it but some felt it took too much strength to actually manipulate it. Its quite hard. They like the color changes.
