Amazing little flash drive, sans the novelty robot appendages...
by ickytips (4 out of 5 stars)

honestly, this little guy's a workhorse. don't let his small size fool you; he can pack away an impressively large amount of data, music, video, etc., etc., etc.

on top of that, he's really, really easy to understand, and even easier to use; no need to install drivers, annoying software, etc. -- just plug him in and he's ready to go.

also, it was nice to find a flash drive with a more than ample amount of space -- at least, for my needs -- contained within such a compact frame. the deciding factor, however, that led to my purchase of this item, was the fact that it's pre-formatted for FAT32 applications; i have another, much larger, drive from Toshiba, that i couldn't use for my intended application (backing up the hard drive on my PS3) simply because i didn't want to deal with formatting to FAT32.

this little guy's the perfect size for what i need, and it really couldn't be easier to use. my only gripe, as hinted to in my title, is directed solely at his arms and legs; his head/helmet can be annoying as well, seeing as it's permanently fused to the arms. i say this, simply because the space between the USB port on my PS3 and the table is less than ample. when trying to plug him in, you (obviously) have to remove his helmet, which, combined with his arms, make up a single floppy, clumsy piece which has to either be directed toward his stomach area, or to his back-side. combine this with his floppity, boingy-ish legs and the far from necessitous, couldn't-need-it-less key chain feature, and you've got yourself one hell of an awkward insertion process.

i ended up tearing the key chain from the little eyelet on his back (sorry, buddy), which has made insertion a tad bit less difficult, but those arms and legs... man, they've gotta go. in the meantime, i've discovered an effective method for insertion when the P.O.I (Point Of Insertion) is below knee-level: i position his helmet/arms so they're resting on his abdomen, and i lay him on his stomach directly in front of the P.O.I., his "inserter" facing toward its target (this position puts his "inserter" at the perfect height in conjunction to the P.O.I.); then, lying on his stomach, on top of his helmet/arms, i slowly slide him toward the receiving slot of the P.O.I. (due to the overhang above the PS3's USB ports, along with the PS3's proximity to the ground, i'm forced to go in "blind," so it's important to know the how it "feels" when the inserter is fully inserted into the P.O.I.); i keep sliding him forward until i feel him "click" into place, at which point, i know that his inserter's successfully made entry into the PS3's P.O.I.

it's all fun and games from here!

Ultra-cute but needed a repair
by Frequent Prime Customer (3 out of 5 stars)

The case is solid metal, nicely finished, and very, very cute. However, the drive itself is a straight USB stick that is held in place mostly by friction. The two units I bought came with the connector slid down inside the enclosure about 1/8", and as a result the connection to the computer wasn't reliable. I opened the robot up (easy, just two screws, but make careful note of how the arms and legs come out) and found that the drive was shorter than the hold-in-place thingies were designed for. The drive had been wrapped in tape for a tight fit, but still could move under force. I put the drive in the correct position, jammed a couple of toothpick pieces below it for reinforcement, and put everything back together. So far it has stayed put.

Extremely Cute

When I first received this USB flash drive, it didn't work immediately, but when I plugged it into a different port it worked fine. It is way to heavy for it to actually stand up on it's own but I don't leave it out for display anyway as someone would likely steal it because it is so darn cute. I've had no issues with moving content on/off. If you want something more than you basic flash drive stick, this is a good way to go.

Does not fit.

Not sure what kind of XBOX360 this was made for but it does not fit any of the ports on my wife's 360. We're just going to use it as a stand-by USB drive for the PC.

I get compliments on this weird USB all the time. The only drawback to this product is that the cover sometimes springs off on it's own.

I got this for my little brother as a "just because" gift and he loved it. It thought is was very rad looking and currently feels like the coolest kid his computer class for having it. He enjoys it and keeps it with him at all times. He using it for his computer class, online PC gaming, and for some Xbox game saves.

Looks cool, doesn't work...

I bought one of these, got it brand new in the mail, tried to use it with my MAC but it doesn't work. The USB icon doesn't pop up on my desktop and my computer doesn't even register it. The same thing goes for other computers I tried it with. Got it replaced pretty easily, but the same thing was true for the replacement, and it's helmet was on backwards. Tried to get it replaced for a second time but this time they wanted me to mail back the original receipt (which I had long since lost) and the malfunctioning usb. Long story short, I've got 2 cool looking but useless usb drive and I'm out almost $30. Pass on this, buy from someone else.

This little guy required some gluing is so purely designed and put together. It's well worth the effort, but a hassle
