Cute idea, poorly made

We had seen someone with this backpack and my son loved it! We were so excited when it arrived since it looks great. However, this backpack is pretty much done after bringing it with us on a few trips. The shoulder straps are so weak they are barely connected, the back hook snapped and is just held on on one side, the fabric dividing the main section from the middle section is torn and several of the zipper tags have come off. Our last trip we ended up carrying it in our arms since we didn't want our son to try and carry it.

Lest you think we were toting textbooks, this was used by a 4 year old carrying a few kids books, crayons, a stuffed animal, snacks and a portable game player. Perhaps we got a defective one - I wrote to the company but never heard back. Nonetheless, our next backpack will be one that can withstand some travel.

My daughter loved this, but it ripped within a week. Great design, just wish it lasted longer! It's hard to find an animal themed backpack for an older child, so kudos for that.

I purchased this backpack for my 2nd grade son, who takes care of things well. He has been in school for two months now and both main zippers are broken, and I have sewn along the main zipper twice. The fabric is very thin and around the teeth, the red color "bled" into the white and turned the teeth pink --not a favorite for boys! Overall, I would not advise purchasing this backpack.

I bought one of these last semester. Both straps broke and the seam at the top started coming apart. Awesome design, poor quality.

This backpack was by far the best investment I have ever made. Sure,the other reviews mention it may have a few minor quality issues... but that is coming from the wear and tear of a 5 year old. (also being told by overdramatic parents who are upset they themselves couldn't pull this off nor had the opportunity to have one as a child Meaning their reviews should be thrown out) I have gone hiking in the Andes, The Himalyas, and The Transantactic Mountains and have not used a more quality backpack to hold my supplies and equipment in. I recommend this to all sorts of users, (minus little kids... they are too aggressive)
