I travel frequently and will often buy wine as a souvenir or gift. I have used these for years, not just for wine, but for any bottled liquid- such as olive oil, bourbon, and even perfume. I have only had one problem with breakage and that was in a bag that was so badly handled by the airlines that the luggage was ruined. Even then, the bottle broke but the contents did not leak. I have tried other travel bags for wine but none work as well as this one. This one is easy to use and works great. All of the other ones I have used will only work for standard wine bottles. Because this inflates, you can use this one for smaller bottles too. Some of the other brands I have used are nice to keep liquids from leaking if something breaks but don't really do much to protect from breakage. This does both beautifully.

Bought this for the specific purpose of transporting a $500 bottle of bourbon. Followed the instructions and am about to pack this in a suitcase, but I guarantee you that I will be surrounding this with plenty of clothes, placing in the middle of my suitcase and praying to the TSA gods that they do not mess with the bottle in transit. After fully inflating the bag, it is clear that this is meant to be one part of a strategy for transporting bottles and not an all-in-one solution. If you place pressure on any part of the bag, particularly the recessed portions in the middle, you can feel the bottle. I lightly tapped the side of the inflated bag with bottle against my table and heard a concerning, loud thud. Will report back after trip.

Good product that did the job. Picture misleading even with writing underneath that says only one bag included; it looks like three bags. Writing is very small and should be MUCH LARGER or the picture should be changed. Thank you.

Approximately 3 Years Later: still using the same bag with no problems. Used it to carry wine, hard liquor, jams, sauces & breakable "trinkets" and more. It deflates easily and flat so it can be rolled up for storage. Fill up unused space with soft things. Given the strength with which the luggage is handled, pack in middle of suitcase (side to side & bottom to top). The advantage of the Vinni Bag is it is see-through for the Security/Customs Officers but I still put a note on the outside of it listing the contents. You get what you pay for and in my case this little bag has paid for itself several times over. Happy Travels!

Great for protecting wine on a flight all the way to England

I used these to transport wine all the way from Seattle to England. Important to note- the Amazon image shows 3 protector travel bags, its only for one bottle protector bag in total, so if you need more than one be sure to change the quantity accordingly when ordering. I purchased 2 bags and packed them in my checked luggage. The bags were easy to use and kept the bottles safe and sound through 3 separate flights. They are heavy duty and easily re-usable. I would highly recommend these.

Bought this Item because it was reviewed and found to do a Great Job Protecting Bottles.

Well, I have yet to Break anything since I Purchase theVinniBag Inflatable Travel Bag.

Compared to Expensive Libations These Protective VinniBags are an Inexspensive Purchase. Buy Several, Be Happy, Don't Worry !!!

Vinnibag keeps the bottle from breaking in your suitcase

I bought this VinniBag so I could take a bottle of my mother's favorite spirits with me when I travel by air to visit her. Since you can't take liquids through security, you can safely transport alcohol inside this great invention. Place the bottle inside, inflate enough to stabilize the bottle, then seal the bottom and roll up the bottom part. Finish inflating and buckle the clasp. And then you are good to go! I use this along with the wine diapers that you can also buy here on Amazon. I think the Vinnibag would work fine by itself since I have used it repeatedly and it has never deflated. However, I like the added assurance of the wine diaper in case the bottle does break because that will soak up the liquid and my clothes will stay dry. So the bottle goes in the diaper and the whole thing goes in the Vinnibag, and then that goes into an XXL Ziploc.

Once inflated it takes up a fair amount of space in my suitcase. However, you can't put this in your carry-on bag as security will take any liquid > 3 oz away from you. So I just carry a large suitcase and check it through. Gives me plenty of extra space on the way home. I have had no problems getting it to deflate and it takes up very little room on the return flight.
