Some people have questioned the authenticity of this product. They may have received a knockoff because mine performs just as well as the standard black nunchuk and is absolutely an official Nintendo licensed product. You should receive it in the original Japanese packaging as these are imported from Japan. If you don't, you may have a knockoff. The jack that plugs into the Wii remote should have the Nintendo logo on it as in the photo I've posted. I use it with my Kinopio Wii Remote+ (also imported from Japan) and I love the combination! Makes it that much more fun for me to play.

If anyone's wondering whether or not a Japanese Nunchuk controller will work with a North American Wii Remote, the answer is yes they do work together.

Ok, I only bought the red to go with my Mario red controller. We have an older Wii and it is getting harder to find controllers at a decent price. I wanted two more for when my grandson has friends over. Everyone fights over the red ones. Glad I bought two of each. They work great and are genuine Nintendo. You have to wait a bit from Japan, but they arrived in plenty of time. If someone would have made a green nunchuk, I would have sprung for the Luigi controller. Instead, I have two Mario and two of these. They are just more fun than plain black.

So far, this nunchuk is working quite well. I have nothing negative to say about it. It came quick, arrived in the condition that was described, and hasn't had any issues. The red is very vibrant and my son now makes me take the white one so he can have this red one, haha. I'm ok with that. I was glad to find this as a replacement to the one of ours that died.

Nunchuck works well for games my son plays. Only annoyed with Nintendo for how many remote possibilities there are and for some games you have to buy them. Very frustrating, expensive, and feels like a rip off. Considering the wii u came with no remotes only a game pad which is useless for some games I'm not a fan of the new game systems.

The unit looks new and seems legit, but was shipped in a generic plastic bag, not in the OEM box as described. Compared with a genuine white controller it looks and feels the same and the buttons and joystick function well.

I got this nunchuck to go with my Mario Wii Remote, and the pair is just great. I only wish Nintendo produced a green nunchuck to go my my Luigi remote and now the Princess Peach Wii Remote will need a Pink Nunchuck.
