I thought this would be just another one of the countless pillows I have tried, but it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. I can sleep on my side now! It really works as it claims.

The material of it's general construction feels like very good quality, dense memory foam. The density and firmness, concerned me at first, but after sleeping with it, I realize that it needs that firmness and stability, in order to take the pressure off the shoulder enough.

I can sleep with my arm out to the side or up toward the head of the bed, but I like out the best, with or without the elbow bent, either way is okay.

I found that I need a stretchy pillow case, so that there is slack in the cutout areas underneath where the arms go. The pillow case is a little loose that way, but it has not been a problem.

Thanks to whoever designed and made this pillow!

I am a slide sleeper and tend to put my arms under my pillow while asleep. Unfortunately I also have recurring golfer's elbow, which my doctor tells me is very common as we get older. I would often wake up in the middle of the night because my arm would hurt. I would also wake up very often with my arm "asleep" and numb. It can be painful for me to lift anything heavy. Similarly, I would have periodic bouts of neck pain, caused by poor neck positioning while asleep and would occasionally get injections to relieve the pain.

I tried numerous products before finding the Better Sleep Pillow. The front of the pillow is kind of like a shelf. My natural sleep position is to put my arm under under the pillow below my neck. With the Better Sleep Pillow, my arm fits under the shelf, while my head rests on the main body of the pillow. This completely prevents the weight of my head from pressing on my arm. I no longer wake up with arm pain or numbness. The product works incredibly well for me.

The pillow also has an arm tunnel through the middle for people who tend to position the arm perpendicular to their body. I don't sleep that way, but if I did, I think the same principle would apply to alleviate arm pain.

The pillow has also done an incredible job of stopping my neck pain. Even if the pain wasn't sufficient for me to seek treatment, I would wake up once a week with neck pain. Since I started using this pillow a little more than a year ago, I no longer wake with any neck pain and have not needed to seek any treatment.

As a bonus, the pillow has helped to reduce my snoring. I still snore at times, but the reduction was significant.

I think some of the people leaving negative reviews sleep differently than me or have different body structures. I am 6ft and about 200 pounds. The pillow may not work the same for them as it does for me because of those differences. I don't think the product is at fault, I just think there is no one-size-fits-all solution to arm and neck pain from sleeping. I tried other products that did not work for me at all, but had (scattered) very good reviews from people for whom the product was effective.

If you have arm or neck pain while asleep, I recommend giving this product a try. It may work for you as well as it has worked for me.

P.S. I had a slight problem with a pillow case sold by the same company. Their customer service was very responsive and quickly resolved the issue.

Really wanted to love this

I really love the concept because I sleep with my arm under my pillow all the time and it falls asleep. I am a big fan of memory foam pillows, but this one is just too hard. I waited to review hoping it would soften some, but it didn't. It is also too small. The arm tunnel did work though and is a good idea. It would be better for me if it was at an angle and not straight up the pillow, but that is just me. I did adapt by slightly turning the pillow. A softer memory foam and larger size would improve the pillow. It was a lot to spend to not be able to use.

This pillow should have a crescent of moon shape to it. Once you put your arm under the tunnel created your head has no place to go unless you turn the pillow at an angle. Great concept but leaves me with a sore neck in the morning. My 8 year old seems to work okay with it. Maybe it is not adult (bigger size) friendly.

We bought this pillow, at my husband's insistence, and it has been great! My husband has arthritis in both his shoulders and damage to his rotator cuff and since using this pillow his complaints have gone down to zero!!! He sleeps much better and is able to exercise without any complaints of pain. Since using the pillow he very rarely takes any medication for pain. Highly recommended - worth the $100!

Immediately after I began using this pillow my shoulder pain was reduced. I've used it for more than 6-months and I would recommend it to anyone that is having shoulder pain from sleeping on their side. My only complaint is that the zipper broke off of the included pillow case the first time I tried to remove it for washing.

Not worth the money

It sort of works to take some pressure off the arm/shoulder but the arm slot is not tall enough, so it really doesn't take enough pressure off. I used it for a month or so and it was better than a regular pillow until the foam broke in half and it became worthless.

For something of this to be any value, it has to come in different sizes. It can't be one-sized-fits-all. And it has to be made of quality foam. This one is not.
