Packaged in a ceramic holder that reproduces the signature cardboard sleeve of the White Castle Slider hamburger packaging, net proceeds from the sale of the candle benefit a variety of autism advocacy and awareness organizations and programs. This candle really does smell like White Castle hamburgers. That said, I thought it was disgusting, but I didn't buy it for myself, so not a big deal. It's an oniony, slightly greasy meat smell. But the person it was bought for loved it, so it was a success.

I did however, like the candle holder. It's shaped like one of the little hamburger boxes, and is a nice heavy ceramic. The colours were bright, no scratches or flaws, was printed on all sides, was well packed.

My brother & I used to go to White Castle on Long Island as kids. It was a treat as adults when either one of us got to visit a real store again once we moved out of the area. When I saw this, I had to get it and send it to him. I don't know what it smells like, but when I asked him he said "It smells like gas. Delicious gas"! LOL! It doesn't get better than that!

I bought this as a novelty. I wouldn't dream of actually burning it. Even with the clear wrapper intact you can still smell it if you get close enough to the candle. Honestly, it smells like someone ate White Castle and left the cartons in the trash. So I imagine burning this would have the same affect. And yes, it smells like meat, onions and mustard.

It's cute though & I like that the container is porcelain, but having purchased one I see no need to ever purchase another.

Got this as a gift for my brother who moved to California where they don't have White Castles. He LOVED the gift and displays it proudly. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it does not smell like a true belly-bomber. He said it has a mild fresh scent. I think I might have to order one for myself too!

Fun novelty gag gift but smells even worse that the restaurant itself...started to give this a 1 star but then realized it's exactly as advertised. Can't fault the company for beign 100% honest.

made me want to gag before i lit it, but once it was lit it smelled fantastic! really smells like walking into a white castle! would definitely recommend for a gift, or possibly as an inspiration for a Harold and Kumar style journey

I got this as a gift for someone that has quite a bit of white castle nostalgia. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the candle does smell more like popcorn than hamburgers but since I imagine a burger scented candle must be awful, no one minded too much. The ceramic case that the candle comes in was well appreciated as a gag gift.
