Great snack
by Shayulghul (5 out of 5 stars)

These snacks are chewier and tastier than I expected. They are a bit sticky, so make sure you have something to drink while eating one. The cookie would stick to my teeth just a bit. If you are having them with coffee or hot tea, you probably won't even notice the stickiness. The flavor is solid: a mild cookie flavor that isn't overly sweet. The cookies are also pretty dense and fibrous. I was skeptical about people who said they ate only half a cookie, but I get it now. I can easily eat a whole one when I'm hungry, but I enjoy eating about 2/3 of one as a snack and saving a bit for a post-meal sweet.

This is just simply not good. Should have stayed with "My Cookie" as that ...

I should have read the reviews on this. This is just simply not good. Should have stayed with "My Cookie" as that is a far superior product. This is the only flavor I have tried and will not try any more. I can't really describe the taste other than the fact that is bland. I really just want to throw the rest of the case away. Make sure you try a sample before ordering a whole case.

Inconsistent

I had stopped purchasing these cookies because they started being 70% chocolate chip chunks with just a bit of cookie.

I made the decision to try it again, 1st and 2nd box ok. 3rd. Terrible. Will never purchase again for good now. Entire box in the garbage

I love protein cookies, but I wouldn't call this a cookie, more like protein brick!

These are really tasty and the consistency is nice, not grainy like some other protein bars. I'm excited to try some other flavors.

... have more than 1 or 2 because they are like a meal

The only problem with these is that you can't have more than 1 or 2 because they are like a meal. I finally found a better cookie. Love the taste. My husband doesn't like the texture but I think its great .Absolutely love these.

Cookie Monster Approved
by Kort (4 out of 5 stars)

The Classic Chocolate Chip is the second favorite flavor I've tried from Buff Bake thus far. If you're expecting the ideal baked cookie then you should probably keep looking. If you want the best post-workout or diet low-sugar snack, look elsewhere as well. If you'd like a big cookie that you could nibble on throughout the day or serve as a meal replace, this might be for you. It tastes decadent enough to be an indulgence but also healthy enough so that you don't feel guilty after eating the last crumb.

These cookies have a chewy, "collagen" texture that I generally associate with protein bars. The outer rim of the cookie is a bit cakey and crumbly while the center section is more chewy. There is the standard doughy parts interspersed with chocolate chips, but also a noticeable coconut flavor, even though that ingredient is way down on the content list. It has lots of fiber and 16g of protein, but also has 15g of fat and 16g of sugar, contributing to its 320 calorie per serving total. While not terrible, I'm sure those ratios could have been tweak towards a leaner cookie while retaining the pleasant taste. The box of 12 has each cookie individually wrapped, ideal to throw in a bag and eat on the go.

My 14 year-old daughter is the resident "Cookie Monster" and has taken to these, much to my surprise. Normally she likes her cookies as sugary and bad for you as possible. She did mention that it isn't like a regular cookie, but it still tastes good. I like it better than other "meal" cookies I've tried and the ingredients seem wholesome for the most part. I may not get them again even though they're priced reasonably, but I'll enjoy this batch. Microwaving in the bag for 10 seconds softens the Protein Cookie and make it seem fresh-baked.

Chocolate chip version has good flavor, fills me up, texture is a bit spongy
by Adam Wood (4 out of 5 stars)

I've been eating protein bars for years, and have eaten one or more every day for about a year since I started working out again. I'd heard about protein cookies before and decided to give these a try, and I ordered the Chocolate Chip version.

Overall, I'm decently happy with them. I don't like the texture as well as the peanut butter GoMacro bars that I've been getting for months, but these are also less expensive and have more protein and fiber...three good things. I think that the taste is actually quite good, and given that it has chocolate chips in it - it does taste like a chocolate chip cookie. The texture is a little weird, though. Outside of "spongy," I'm not quite sure how to describe it. They aren't really like cake or a muffin. Maybe a dense muffin. They aren't my favorite texture, but after eating two or three of them, I don't really notice it anymore.

One definitely fills me up for a bit, and I like the use of whey protein. I could have done without the coconut and 5g of saturated fat, though. I do like the level of protein and fiber in each cookie. I think that these give me gas, though, which I'd prefer didn't happen. I say "think" because I'm not 100% certain it's these, but I think it is.

These won't replace my GoMacro peanut butter bars. They taste fine and all, but I feel better after eating the GoMacro bars than I do after eating these (in all fairness, I don't feel good after eating some GoMacro flavors, but the peanut butter bars work great for me...so one of the other flavors of these might work better for me). I'm glad that I tried them, and it's nice to have some variety, but I prefer the GoMacro bars.

Great Protein
by S. K. Harrell (5 out of 5 stars)

I've been looking for an affordable, gluten-free protein cookie for ages. I have a very limited foodstyle, and have gotten so tired of the same meal replacement foods. I began exploring protein cookies about a year ago, and found that the top-rated one isn't gluten-free, and it's also not affordable. They often come in at $3 apiece, and frankly if I'm going to spend that on a single snack-like food item, it's got to be perfect. The opportunity to try these protein cookies was most welcomed.

On site, I could tell they were gluten-free. They have that gum sheen. When I broke off a piece, the sponge-like texture was a tip in that direction, as well. I wasn't feeling good about it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. First-off, they are sweet, which was unexpected. Also, not oddly, chemically sweet. They're made with cane sugar--so not low carb. Second, it tasted good. I got the chocolate and the cookie base flavors, and the mouth feel was nice. Often packaged gluten-free baked good turn to much as soon as they hit liquid, and are really gross in texture even if the flavor is good. These held up. I was really surprised, given how spongy they are.

Overall, they are a nice departure from protein bars. However, they are really not a treat. They are full-on meal replacement, and somehow because they are so sweet, my psychology rejects them. Because they are so sweet and made with cane sugar, they don't pass the low carb test. Pricewise, they come in under $1.50 each, which is not bad. They are a good alternative to keep around, though they can't be part of my regular on-the-run gluten-free low carb rotation.
