Poor value

Injection molded cheap plastic junk. The front door has a poorly designed locking mechanism, and I'm just waiting for the day it doesn't stay shut anymore. It looks and feels like it should cost about a fourth as much as it does, which I've found to be the case with all "Quirky" branded products. Don't buy "Quirky" branded products. They engineer the things to be disposable, and they only cost pennies to manufacture, and then they sell them like they're made of gold and will solve all your problems.

Great idea but flawed in the execution

Boo, Quirky. How could you get the Pivot Power Strip so right and then not make this compatible with it? Instead, I have to use an old fashioned power strip where I can't use every plug because some of what I want to plug in has power bricks, which defeats the purpose! If I try to use the Pivot Power Strip, it hangs over the edge, and then I can't wall mount this, which was why I bought it. (I wanted cords off the floor so I could use my Roomba without any issue).

I actually like the look and design, although I agree with the other reviews that for the price, and without a power strip included, it is pricey for what it is. For the next generation, if you built in the Pivot Power Strip, this would be the single best cord management solution. But as it is, I've bought the Blu-Lounge Design CB-01 instead.

Serves its purpose, but overpriced for what you get

I purchased this to help clear up some of the nightmare cord jungle that exists behind my TV stand. It serves its purpose, but it could definitely be better for the price. First of all, the unit is made out of pretty cheap and flimsy plastic. You probably don't notice it from 6 feet away, but up close it looks noticeably cheap. The unit also had trouble managing power bricks, some of which wouldn't fit inside. If this were under ten dollars, I would recommend it. For more than that, though, I'm not sure it's a good buy.

Wouldn't buy it again

I thought I was getting aluminum, but what I received was made of plastic. I use this for my TV, DVR and Xbox, and the cables are a little too thick to all fit in the station. Nevertheless it keeps my cables tidy and mostly dust free, although I am still wondering why I paid this much for a plastic box which effects I can replicate with a shoebox and some cable ties.

Just Okay

We ended up returning this because it just wasn't worth the cost and I thought by the description of it that it would actually DO more. It's really just an expensive plastic box, and ultimately it didn't make under the desk look that much cleaner. Too bad, the picture makes it look cooler than it really is when you get it in your hands.

Eh

This thing is kind of flimsy and frustrating to use. It does not snap shut very well and that makes it difficult to get it to close without pinching the cords coming out of the top. Its a nice concept, but not really worth the time or $$ in my opinion.

cheap flimsy plastic
by K. G. Berliner (4 out of 5 stars)

real simple concept. Nice idea, and it works, but my main complaints are: it is made of cheap flimsy plastic, and there is limited about of space to wrap power cords. Obviously I don't hate it too much, I gave it 4 stars... but this is not a 5 star product. When I got it, it was priced at $25 - I overpaid. I suspect the price will come down soon. They couldn't have spent more than $1 manufacturing this in China.

Does the job.

Does exactly what it says it does, hides the cords.

However, it should be noted that it looks much more "plastic-y" that it appears in the product images, which I wish I had known.

Also, I wish that it came with screws to attach it to the bottom of a desk.

Keeps cords organized
by nae4nola (3 out of 5 stars)

Pretty cheap plastic here so I don't recommend handling it roughly or accessing the cords inside regularly. I put my cords inside once, shut the little door, put it in the spot I am going to keep it and haven't touched it since. I can't say that if you fool with it often it will hold up, but mine is fine. The little door is what I can see being a problem with frequent use.
