Worthless Junk! If you get the gun 2 inches from a fly it works sometimes. One of the worst amazon purchases ever!

Fly Hello. Good hand exercise device.

Where are the batteries? This is a piece of crap. Never buy this. I give it one star because it eventually caught flies after several attempts following the directions. I think the flies got numb being subjected to harassment. Once fly is in tube, you must constantly check the closure cap as it gets loose through constant charging in and out of priming mechanism. Occasionally the tubes fall out of gun and sets the flies loose when cap comes off. My Mark 1 Mod 1 hand works better, though I then have to get rid of carcass and wash filth off my hand. Perhaps a Venus Flytrap would be an alternative or sticky flypaper. We tossed the packaging, so we use the gun to become frustrated, for funs sake. Good luck.

Pretty Decent for around the house.

This non-lethal critter cannon works pretty good. First, it's spring loaded not battery powered! Simply load a test tube and push the barrel in, setting the spring tension. Extend the barrel back out and squeeze the trigger. Works on anything smaller than the test tube opening. My photo shows a stinkbug. It took two shots to get him sucked in. They are notoriously clingy.

Encourage the budding entomologist!
by Real Person from the Real World (4 out of 5 stars)

Great for kids... I bought a couple of these (for less then sold for here) from another website... it holds a couple of small tubes with a open grid on one end (for air), and magnifier on the other so you can view your living captive... Worked fine. Not sure how much more suction you would want, but the kids nabbed a selection of bugs...mostly the crawley kind. .. you pump it up to create the vacuum...a stronger vacuum might be dangerous if misused or injure the insect subjects under study, and you had to get close to your prey, but it kept the kids busy watching bugs... great for the budding entomologist. Also, the website I bought them from had a shot from some guy who used the gun to nab a wasp! He didn't seem unhappy with his purchase.
