The colors are great and way better than the crystal or bag/pouch versions. They last at least 15 minutes.

Every time people (kids and adults) walked by our campsite, they stopped and stared. Lots of comments and the kids wouldn't stop asking to put more on.

The 5 pound bag lasted for four days, but we had lots of kids.

They are pricey, but the best thing I've used ever, so give it a shot with the 2 pound bag if you're worried. But I'll tell you will wish you got the 5 pound bag after your first toss into the fire; always good to have a stash for later also! Have fun, trust me, you will!

My family enjoys these color-changing pinecones. Chemicals applied to the cones make them change color and they are beautiful to see burning along with your wood in your fireplace. This is a 2 lb bag which gives you a lot of pinecones to enjoy. Plow & Hearth ships quickly and easily to your home. I would recommend this product.

Have ordered these several times and a huge hit for any camp fire. Either in a fire pit or fire ring. Pass them out to people sitting around the fire and they love tossing them into the fire and seeing the colors.

Very fun for the kids as they love seeing the different colors in the fire place from these color changing pine cones. Only thing I don't like is the additional candle that they add for bringing the product title up to 2 lb. as I expected a full 2 lb of pine cones. Regardless, I recommend this if you like having wood burning fires as it's fun to see the fire change color to blue or green depending on how many you burn at one time.

I bout these for my dad as kind of a joke since he's a guy that pretty much goes out and buys everything he wants. These last about 10 minutes and look awesome. He loves making a fire and watching a movie, and he continues to chunk a few of these on for a nice green/blue fiery glow.

The 5 lb bag has lasted since christmas, but I will warn these are pretty hard not to throw a ton on at the same time. We usually use one per big yule log and they have lasted a month so far.

Every once in a while you come across something worth repurchasing. This is it! I love these things and every time a new person sees them in action they are mesmerized. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves uniquely colored fires. Each cone burns for 5-10 minutes depending on the location you place them in the fire.

I recommend placing them on the edges of the fire to allow for a slower burn with a couple in the center to even out the effect.

My husband pretends he is Dumbledore when he throws these cones into our fire place to turn the fire different colors. He says funny "spell like" words. They are fun and add ambiance to the room!

Okay, so a natural wood-burning fire is eye candy in and of itself, but with these color cones, now we're talkin' EYE CANDY!

Alright, they do smell like chemicals when burning, in a campfire setting. However, if your chimney has good draft, you cannot smell them when burning in a fireplace. And they do tell you in the instructions not to cook over them, makes sense.

I find it useful (since they're spherical and tend to want to wander off) to use the barbeque tongs to place them exactly where I want them.

As long as I can afford beauty in my life, I'll make these cones part of my fire burning tradition (along with Lightning Nuggets to help get the fire started, and burning to death some Johnsonville brats, also known as meat candy...hoo, yeah!)

I'm very happy with these pine cones. Beautiful colors and they catch right away. The cones are about 1.5 inches in length so the bag has at least a year's supply for us. I'll buy again.

I would give five stars if not for the price. They burn color for a good while, the least amount of time was about ten minutes, but most burned for much longer. It helps to get the cones in top so the color sprinkles melt into the wood. Read directions before using.
