Great theory, poor performance

I am very disappointed in the quality of the materials. This feels like something I would buy for a child's toy. The metal is very thin so the liquid must be cooled quite a bit for this to be effective. Otherwise the metal heats up instantly and picks up no grease

Magnets... How do they work?

I was amazed by the apparent magic occurring here, and wanted to get in on a physics-defying culinary tool. Whoever thought the power of magnets could actually apply to lipids as well as iron, cobalt, and nickel knew something I did not... So I tried the product. Lo and behold - true magic! Almost immediately after I began dipping the fat magnet into the fryer (set on high), the oil began bubbling! I couldn't believe my eyes!

Amazed by these initial results, I plunged the fat magnet into the scalding oil. Eureka! Oil stuck to the magnet! Not the entire vat (it was a thin layer that immediately dripped onto my hand and caused minor irritation) mind you, but that's only because the magnet itself is just too small. Were it the size of the LHC, I guarantee you we'd see miracles all up in this B!

Still curious for more results, I plunged the fat magnet deep into the oil. I wondered - If it caused the fryer oil to bubble, what would happen if it was immersed? I never could have imagined what happened next! After approximately 30 seconds, the skin of my hand began to become discolored and slightly more translucent. I could see my veins, then the tendons and muscle fibers of my fingers! Apparently, the fat magnet was working on the lipids WITHIN MY BODY.

For this I only give the product 4 stars - My hand is irreversibly damaged now. So, a word of caution - don't immerse the fat magnet in 400° oil while holding it with your bare hand, as the magnet will become confused which fat to separate, and begin to work against your body, literally peeling off layers and layers of your flesh instead of collecting the flaming hot grease.

Overall, I'd say this product works great! As long as you don't make the same mistake I did, you'll be fine! And it will work like a charm. Or, should I say, fat magnet!

Removes Fat as Advertised!

Anyone that says this product doesn't work isn't using it correctly. Sticking the "magnet" in the refrigerator and then dipping into our fat laden foods for a fraction of a second clearly wouldn't work. Anyone that understands the very basics of physics would realize that. There's simply not enough mass in the "fat magnet" to cool the top layer of food fat enough to pull it out.

Where it *really* shines is when using it to remove fat from foods that you don't plan on eating for 24 hours. All you have to do is cook a meal that's full of fat, then, while the food is still hot, just WAVE the magnet above it for 8-218 seconds. This will draw the fat to the top of the food. Then place that food into a freezer, and 24 hours later, you will find the fat separated from the food! AMAZING! Scrape the excess separated fat from the food, reheat, and you're ready to go! This doesn't work so good in foods that have a LOT of fat in them (carnitas, adobo, etc.) so you can mitigate that by just adding 10 parts water to 1 part food, boiling for 4 hours, and repeating the above process (wave/freeze) and it will work with ANY fat laden food. You can scrape those pounds away from your frozen meals!

It even gets better, though. My wife had been putting on a few pounds for the first 5 years of our marriage, and this fat magnet even was able to help THERE. By installing a simple eye hook to the ceiling above her part of the bed, I attached the fat magnet to a string so it would swing like a pendulum just inches above her while she slept. (I had to wake up every 10 or so minutes to start it swinging again, but as I will show you, setting regular alarm clocks was well worth it!)

After only 10 months of this, it started working! She left me at that point, but two years later we saw the real results! She lost 10 pounds, and her new husband couldn't be happier!

At one point, I'd left it hung in the room, and went on a "sabbatical" to rediscover myself. When I returned home, all of my animals had died. It's clear that this was so powerful that it had removed far too much fat from their systems, causing rapid starvation (they were, after all, much smaller than may fat, fat, fat, ex wife.)

Impressed with the results, I showed it to my brother, who had been struggling with heart disease and diabetes our entire lives. (His wife had left him due to her inability to deal with his minor "whore" issue) and just in that short time, it was enough to cause him to lose weight RAPIDLY for the next few years! When he died of the heroin overdose, he swore to me that the "Fat Magnet" had changed his life.

Cannot recommend any more strongly. 10/10

Unfortunately, most of my dishes in the kitchen only have fat of the non-metallic variety. So this "fat magnet" would not attract the fat away. But, I can not wait for the day when I eat an iron-rich diet, and I can go to my utility drawer with pride, and use the Fat Magnet to pull that iron-rich fat out of my cooking creations! All hail science!!
