Product Description

Strong and Durable: The BAGGLER® is built to last and be used over and over again. The base handle of The BAGGLER® is made of a very strong plastic copolymer that perform in a wide range of weather conditions, hot, cold, rain, and snow. The BAGGLER® is made with materials that can withstand some of the coldest temperatures, as low as 5 degrees below zero and scorching heat as hot as 120 above. Capable: The BAGGLER® has three solid hooks that can hold up to 18 lbs each. Each hook can hold several thin handle cloth, rope handle and plastic shopping bags. Placing multiple bags on each hook of The BAGGLER® means that you could carry many bags with a maximum weight slightly greater than 50 lbs. The Perfect Size: The BAGGLER® is not too big and not small. It's the perfect size, about 5" wide x 4.5 " height and less than 1/2 inch thick, except the handle grip which is 7/8 inch diameter. The BAGGLER® only weighes 1.7 ounces. Wow! The BAGGLER® can fit into your pocket, your purse, pocketbook or knapsack, glove box, or easily clip onto your belt loop. Easy to use: The BAGGLER® is designed to slide your thin handle cloth, rope handle and plastic shopping bags on and off with the least amount of effort. There a two major components that contribute to the remarkable ease in which plastic bags slide on and off. First, The BAGGLER® is made of a copolymer that is smooth, almost frictionless, and latex free. The copolymer has tremendous memory and the tines and hooks retain their position, but have enough flexibility to allow almost all plastic bags to slide on and off. Second, the precise design of the hooks and tines keeps your plastic bags from getting snagged. A slight overlap of 3/16" and a smooth rounded tip that creates a "V" like chanel that will allow you to remove each bag handle easily. You don't have to move the tines, they are flexible enough to allow the bag handles to slide through and off the hooks.

You really need two
by Robert C Ross (5 out of 5 stars)

These plastic holders are rated to hold 50 pounds, and I tested my two with an 80 pound cement block, just to see if they really could take the strain. They both did -- although I had tiny bit of trouble during the test. :(

At a more normal 5 to 10 pounds, these handles work great for groceries and for dry cleaning. At about eight pounds, one Baggler works fine, and is very comfortable in the hand. Above that weight -- your mileage may vary -- I like to use two Bagglers, one in each hand, to keep the balance better. Safer too; it is easy to strain muscles if the weight is not balanced between both arms.

There is a bit of a trick to getting the plastic ba handles off the device, but once you learn to put the bag down and then slide the plastic handle around the curve on the bottom, it quickly becomes second nature.

The handles fit my fairly large hands very well, and my friend whose hands are much smaller found them very comfortable as well.

I've tried a couple of other similar devices -- Home Depot gives away a small wooden version that has a metal wire running through the handle and two hooks on either end. They work fine, but I've found that the ends of the wire can cut your skin and often get caught in your clothing. The wire hooks are pretty short, so it is easy to rub your fingers between the wooden handle and the cord holding the package. The Baggler's smooth surface and the small closures prevent catching on fabric and the two inches of space between the handle and the bar holding the three hooks prevents any abrasion.

One Trip Grip, 4050 One Trip Grip looked like a winner, but in practice I found that it wasn't as strong as it looked, the bags moved around as I walked, and it wasn't as easy to take the bags off the device. Baggler won by a landslide for me.

BAG-MATE HANDLE CARRIER was a close competitor for the Baggler, but I found that I had to modify the handle a bit to give myself more purchase; I wrapped some tape into the V gap so the handle was flatter, as suggested by another reviewer. That increased comfort but also a bit of weight and collected dirt from the exposed glue on the tape. The Baggler seemed a little more elegant to me, but the Bag-Mate is a close competitor to the Baggler for my money.

Did save my hand from the heavy stuff.
by Courtland J. Carpenter (4 out of 5 stars)

I had to bend the little plastic things to get it to open up more, but it worked well connecting three or more of the heavy grocery bags. My circulation wasn't cut off for once bringing in the groceries, plus I have a metal peg on my porch near the door and I was able to hand this on it temporarily while I used my key. Normally, I try to put the stuff on a small table near the door on the sub-porch, and the groceries often fall off. I have trouble bending so that's a pain to get them picked back up.

Overall the product is nice and I've seen much better reviews than the one they hawk on TV. The only reason this misses 5 stars is having to bend the plastics to remove and place the bags. If they were real push lock and open clips it would be better, but I do know that would surely drive up the cost. Recommended for those of us who like to do the lazy mans load as they say. Not that great for the elderly with muscle problems, it helps distribute the doesn't lessen the weight.

Must Have Item(or 2)-Whether buying heavy items or not!
by Maria Marko (5 out of 5 stars)

These are Great to distribute weight evenly for several grocery bags. I frequently must walk to/from a local grocery store for food & other items, that is 8 large blocks away. They have helped me easily carry heavy 2 liter soda, & heavy dog food(place in bags with handles). I have it with me every time I go to the grocery store, whether buying heavy items, or not. It is so easy carrying everything put into bags with hadles, even your cloth recycling/reusable bags from Walmart, or Target, or elsewhere! Must Have Item(2 for each person, if buying many items for a family, etc....)

Why did I not buy this sooner?!
by Lisa A. Martinez (5 out of 5 stars)

I don't know how I never heard of this until recently, but when I saw it I knew I had to try it. This gadget is fantastic! The plastic is much stronger than it looks in the picture, so don't let that be the reason you don't try this. It is similar to the really thick pants hangers that you can buy. When I used it, it was for general grocery and toiletries shopping and it worked great! Instead of four trips, I only had to take two. I liked it so much that I ordered more. Once I brought it into work to show some of my co-workers, they wanted to order them too.

It can be useful. However
by Andrew G. Rugg (3 out of 5 stars)

It can be useful. However, if you need to rest the bags at any point -- to open doors, take elevators, etc -- the bags easily slip off. The little hooks that are meant to keep the bags on aren't very effective. If you go directly from car to cupboard, then this will work for you though. It didn't for me.

Works well
by Bacchus (4 out of 5 stars)

I live on the top floor of an apartment complex and the Baggler definitely makes carrying large quantities of bags up three flights of stairs much easier. I did find that sliding plastic bags onto the clips was a little harder than I thought it would be especially after you have a few bags on there. I also thought I was getting 2 Bagglers with the order but you only get one. Still, for 6 bucks it is well worth it. I will be buying a second one for sure!

I did extensive research on this type of product and found that these were the most highly rated- and they are built tough indeed. My husband carries the groceries all by himself, and he's one happy chap, now!

Discolored item, but works

The price was great, the shipping cost was a bit high.

But I did not expect that the item would be discolored, perhaps explaining the discounted price.

Broke after a couple of uses... cannot hold a lot of weight without stretching the hooks.
