These took a long time to arrive they come from outside the country.

I used these for a party 1 of them did not light , 4 didn't change color.

Pros
* Real cool factor in drinks
* Nice when they change color

Cons
* Could only use them one time did not shut off batteries wore out
* Many didn't change color
* Not a high quality reusable item

Conclusion

These are real cool items for any kind of party but be prepared you will only get to use these once. It would be great to find some of these cubes that you can use over and over. The search continues. I would not recommend these particular cubes to family and friends.

Not As Listed but not a total waste.

Items were not as listed. Batteries can not be changed and no button to change display modes.

Also 3 out of 12 did not work at all. On he positive side the 9 that did work have an array of displays and the size of cube is not too small or too big. Because you can't change the battery I don't know hold many time they can be used, but it likely max life will be about 6 hours. If all 12 had worked the price would have been reasonable. Overall however you expect to get what is advertised and I did not. The seller was responsive to emails and did make a good effort to compensate for failings.

Water submersible LED ice cubes

The description for these was very lacking. fYI, you must submerge these in water in order for them to work as the conductivity between two poles with a liquid is mandatory. I was looking something with a switch so they wouldn't necessarily need to be submersed. This was not in the description, or anything close. I ended up not being able to use these. If I knew what I was going to buy, I would not have purchased these particular devices. There is nothing with the product otherwise. You just have to know that it required for them to be in water for them to work. Also, communication in shipping was not good, and it took along time to get them from China, and it wasn't clear at the outset that I was going to have to wait for a mailed shipment from China.

The Hit of the Party!!

These were so inexpensive and such a hit at my party!! You just drop them into a beverage or water to activate them, and they go all night! Everyone loved them. They all worked and I didn't have any issues with any of them at all. They are quite small so you can even fit a couple of them into a glass if you really want to. I also used a few and placed them in clear, acrylic ice buckets on round mirrors for a really neat effect.

So reasonable, I think I'm going to order more to keep on hand just for fun, and I've already referred the product to others that loved them.

Shipper was VERY fast, and product arrived in great shape. Thank you!

Conversation starter at the party

I first saw them used in a Japanese restaurant and thought it was a great idea for dinner parties. Got them before Christmas and used for all the Christmas, New Year's dinners, and more. They sure are conversation starter at the parties, having the very bright ice in the glasses or punch bowl. Of course the kids love them, grow ups too. Go a mix of different colors in the packages, every one of the cubes work and still working now after more than 4 months and many uses. Do not put them in hot water, they are plastic; they are not real ice cube just decorations. You can mix them with real ice cubes.

Got these for my wife. She loves them. They have sensors that only activate the LED's when immersed in liquids.

I believe they are sealed so when the batteries die they will have to be discarded. What a waste of natural resources. That't why I only gave it 3 stars. Not that I am a tree hugger but why not make them with access to replace the battery? To sell more of them? Everyone is turning into an APPLE company. I know the batteries can be expensive but if you buy them in bulk they are quite cheap. I would buy again.

Great Price and product!

I have read mixed reviews on this item and feel that somehow the product reviews are being mixed with other product reviews. Some commenters say the Cubes they received didn't have a button to change colors and some say theirs did have a button.
I ordered 3 sets of these cubes and all of them had a color changing button on the bottom and they worked in and outside of water. Out of the 36 Cubes I ordered 4 did not work which I do not feel is a bad deal seeing these were priced at $1 each when I ordered them compared to $3 each from other suppliers.

Cool product, but 25% did not work upon receipt of package

Pros: These cubes are really cool! On the bottom of the cube there is a little button to push which turns the cube on and off. With each on and off cycle, the color will change. There are 7 different colors that can be displayed in a "constant-on" mode: either red, green, purple, yellow, pink, blue, or a "mixture of colors". There is one additional mode in which the colors continually fade in and out, switching to different colors (I imagine this mode would burn out the batteries quicker).

I have no idea how long these will last but with LED lights I'm hoping they will last a while! Certainly will be fun at parties to put in drinks.

Cons:
1. Very disappointing that 3/12 cubes (25%) did not work upon opening the package!
2. There are no instructions that came with the box, so I don't know if I can change the batteries -- if so, will the cubes still be waterproof?

They worked great for a party and for a little longer, but didn't expect them to last long and they lived up to that expectation. Wasn't long before some of them wouldn't turn off, others wouldn't turn on, etc but they were great for a little while . At the end of the party a number of kids asked to take some home which I was happy for them to do - so I'd say it was a hit.

not reusable

Cubes were great at first, they all worked. Then I took them out of the drinks about half stayed on so they are not all reusable because the
batteries died.
