Bought this as a birthday gift. Deal was, $100 goes into the bottle. Recipient wants a quick $100, break the bottle. But, another $50 if he takes it apart properly and another $100 if he puts it back together. Problem is, I had to break the bottle to get it apart initially because the bolt got stuck in the dowel. Reason for that was the hole was drilled way too fast and there were still a lot of wood shavings attached to the hole which caused the bolt to get stuck. I filed the hole out so that it was smooth, bought another 200 ml bottle and things worked great. It's pretty easy to get apart but a monster to get back together. But since there was money in the jar, the recipient knew it was doable. He's still trying to earn the last $100 though ...

Another time consumer ... fun to take apart. even more challenging to reverse the process. Husband thought this would be a one-time puzzle until then! Even though you know what to do ... doing it's another part of the fun.

It includes the "solution" but for the most fun, don't read it.

I found a technique that I prefer over the one provided.

The product is well made, well packaged, and fulfills the sellers claims.

Not assembled completely :(

The puzzle came not completely put together in the bottle. I tried for an hour to get the bent cotter pin thing in the stick. I failed. Since it's my secret Santa gift.... I wrapped it anyways with a $20 bill attached because it isn't completely assembled. I would send it back if I could. What a disappointment

This was kind of cool. Took some effort to solve even after I figured out a method. It's more labor intensive than knowledge intensive in my opinion but a good puzzle all the same. I will say you probably won't want to reassemble this thing though. It will take some doing.

Gave to 29 year old daughter as gag gift. She got it apart, but not the way the directions said (we looked at the directions after she had it done). Now she's trying to put it back together -- MUCH more difficult. She enjoyed it.

Bought this as a gift, and it's been great to see it used. Friends who come over, and the person I bought it for, are always messing with it. It too a long time to get apart, and even longer to get back together. But totally worth the money for the time we spent messing with it.
