Very roomy!

I found in annoying that other reviews made this product seem so small. If I had realized how roomy this luggage actually was, I would have bought the ladybug one for my daughter who is about to turn 8. I bought the monkey luggage for my 9 month old son for an 8 day trip and this has more than enough room.
*edited*

To be specific I fit: (sizes between 6 months to 12 months)
16 onsies both short and long sleeved
2 shirts
10 pairs of pants
1 sweater
1 hoodie
1 footsie pyjama
2 burp cloths
1 fleece body suite
6 pairs of socks

A hooded baby bath towel (the thick kind)
12 bandana bibs

And 14 size 4 diapers (in the front pocket)

The picture included is of this luggage fully packed with everything I just mentioned.

Great overnight bag for kids - just note that it is the size of a standard backpack though

I bought 2 for my boys (17 months and 4 1/2 yrs old) for our trips to visit family out of state. We go several times a year and I have always put their clothes in a huge bag with mine or used one bag for them to share which would lead to the 4 year old digging for his clothes and mixing them all up. I wanted them to have their own bags from now on, especially for the 4 year old because he now packs his won clothes (using a checklist of pictures) and then he can get himself dressed on the trip without mixing up his clothes with his brother's. Note that this is about the size of a regular/adult size backpack with wheels and handle. It's not really a luggage or suitcase per se.

How much can you fit?

For the 4 year old, I was able to fit a week's worth of clothes in the summer - 7 tops, 7 shorts, 7 underwear, 7 socks, 3 pajamas to wear twice each, and swim shorts. I wash all the laundry on the 6th day if we stay a week or more. In colder weather it will be less that fits in here due to the clothes being bigger. I used it in the fall and was able to fit about 4-5 long sleeve shirts and 2 short sleeve shirts, 5-6 pants, 7 underwear, 7 socks, and 3 pajamas.

For the 17 month old, I was able to fit a week's worth of clothes for both the summer and fall trip, with room for 2 aden and anais muslin swaddle blankets (he uses as his bedtime blankies) and an Ikea Spoka nightlight with the charger. I think I also had an extra outfit for him just in case. Also, I put the diapers and wipes in my bag, there's no way to fit a week of those in here with clothes.

It pushes the bag to it's limits for a full week trip, but anything less than that and you would gain some room for a toy or books. We bought the little matching backpacks for them to pack toys and books in though and that works for us. Granted, its 2 more bags to carry, pack in the car, and keep track of however then the toys and books are more portable to take around and they don't have to dig in the luggage for those items. Usually the luggage is upstairs in the guest room and the backpack is downstairs in the living room, so it makes sense for our trips.

Fun luggage for casual travel & play.

The first thing I will say is that skip hop makes cute products that kids love. This item looks exactly like the pictures and my 3 y/o daughter loves it. It hasn't been on trips yet, but Im looking forward to it getting more use in the months ahead.

Likes:

Cute

Vibrant

Fun

Materials well constructed, and seem durable

Multiple options for portability and carry (handle/wheels/carry strap)

Opportunities:

Ears, for the moment, snag on the dog-bone-shaped zipper pulls when passing over either ear, in either direction. Im hoping this goes away as the bag settles and isn't so new.

Pockets - one large one on the front, and one unsecured side pocket. I wish there were a couple more ways to divide the space within/on the bag. An easy addition would be a secured zipper pocket on the outer opposing side. They could even add a mesh stretchy liner on the inside back or front flap, etc. Just something to help keep the bag more tidy.

Overall this bag is a big hit and the opportunities for improvement are nit-picky at best; if it was refined again with these wishes for next year I would buy a second one in a heartbeat.

Perfect

This is great! I got it for my nearly two year old to take to her grandma's. (Let her manage all the books and markers and snacks and diapers, right?)

She wheeled that thing all over each airport, and felt like such a grownup! It seems to be well made and gets lots of compliments.

And I like that it's gender nuetral.

Love this suitcase for my toddler son. I have used it several times for weekend getaways and it's perfect. I fit about 6 outfits and his toiletry bag. The front pocket is big enough to fit a couple pairs of shoes.

Perfect Bag for Travel

Bought this for my preschooler (age 3.5) to take on a plane trip. I wanted something he could wheel himself, but that I could easily carry when he wore out. We have the skip hop bag (hippo) that is smaller and I love it, but wanted something big enough to hold what entertains him now (coloring books etc.). I initially went with this because a) it's seriously adorable and b) it has a parent strap. No matter how much I looked at other brands and suitcases, I could not find another with a parent strap - so this won, hands down.

I am an overplanner and overpacker, so I put more in this bag than is likely for normal parents who don't overpack :P But everything fit great, the zipper handled it like a champ, and it was easy for my kid to navigate and more importantly- easy for me to sling on my back when he decided he was tired half way to our gate.

It carried a coloring book, 6 paperback books, a pencil box full of crayons, a puzzle, a moana canoe set, the entire Peppa Pig family, their house (and belongings), and their little red car. And probably other stuff I can't remember. The length and depth of this bag is awesome. I was able to lay the Peppa Pig house on top of the books i packed and fit the little red car near the top of the bag above it. I can't think of a reason why this bag wouldn't accommodate any child unless they'd outgrown the desire for Unicorn luggage.

The quality is exactly what I've come to expect from Skip Hop. We drug this bag through 4 airports in 2 days and it looks brand new. Super cute, super easy to use, and super easy to fit under the seat in the plane.

The cutest little rolling backpack/luggage. We use this for travel for our youngest child. It is very cute and stands out because of the bright colors. We can fit a weeks worth of clothing (for a small child) with extras like a pair of shoes, hairbrush etc. Zippers work wonderful, and it rolls smoothly on the ground. I like that it's not too big that my 3 year old can't pull it on her own. She really feels independent while pulling her own luggage, plus it gives her a job to do, which makes her feel important.

Great little suitcase
by photogirl (5 out of 5 stars)

This little suitcase is awesome! I bought it to put all my daughter's clothes in for a recent vacation. When I first saw it, I was worried it would be too small. Surprisingly, it fit a week's worth of a 4 year old's summer clothes (shorts/skirts, t-shirts, a couple leggings, 2 swimsuits, a light sweater, underpants). My daughter loved her monkey suitcase and had no problems pulling it herself through the airport. One of the main reasons I chose this brand over other kid's suitcases is because it has a strap that makes it easy for a parent to sling the suitcase over their shoulder or hook it on to other rolling luggage if the child doesn't want to pull it anymore. The fabric is thinner and more lightweight than your typical suitcase or carryon bag, so I'm not sure how it would hold up as checked luggage, but for a carryon, it worked just fine.

Toddler-Perfect-Sized two wheeled rolling luggage that held up well with my toddler's short trips and adventures through the airport terminals. Enough large pockets in the front and side of the luggage to store snacks, Ipads, and other things that we needed quickly. Very strong material, this luggage has survived multiple trips and is still logging more mileage. Wheels roll very well, telescoping handle locks confidently at a height perfect for my toddler. Did I mention how cute the Dog design was and all the available accessories to match the luggage? From lunch bags, canteens, and more... You have plenty of different designs to choose from with this awesome Toddler-Perfect-Sized rolling luggage.

So good, I bought two more!

Perfect for our 2.5 yr old
by Tori (5 out of 5 stars)
November 19, 2016

We finally went ahead and got this for travel with our 2.5 yr old - he LOVES it, and even after the trip is over he wants to wheel it around the house still. We were initially worried that we'd get it and then end up toting it around the airport ourselves anyway (there was of course a bit of that since we were doing a lot of traveling, but it was no problem and there's a parent carry strap for those occasions too) but overall it was a great success. Of course every kid is different but we are so glad we got this when we did. It allowed us to use our carry on bags for our stuff and the usual diaper bag items, while his extra flight toys/books/sticker books/etc (including the matching Skip Hop neck pillow) fit perfectly in here. It saved my shoulders!! He can wheel it well himself and open and close it himself (although every once in awhile the ears do get in the way of the zipper, but we just talk him through it, no big deal). He just seemed so proud to have his own suitcase and be a big boy. Size is good too, not too big for him and he's not at the top of his age group height/weight wise. Very happy with this purchase. Seems well-constructed too, nice thick material, nice features.
