Spoils a gallon of milk in 2 days

The concept is great. I even liked it because I didn't have to lug a big jug out of the refrigerator. The one downfall which is a major downfall is that your gallon of milk goes sour after a few days because it's not an airtight seal. Because this is hooked up you have no idea it's gone bad because the smell is consealed and in my case fed my kids spoiled milk. They got sick :( wish there was a fix to this but there isn't. Tested a second time with brand new milk and after 2 days milk went bad. Assuming It's the air that is being pushed back into the gallon. If you decide to do this anyways please also note that it drips after each use so make sure you put some sort of towel underneath it in the fridge to make it an easier clean

I loved it...but it turns milk sour.

I really loved this idea. I have4 young children so this made breakfast extremely easy. My husband and I also enjoyed it.

The first 2 gallons went smoothly. We use a lot of milk. The. I left one weekend, three days later the milk was sour :(. I thought it was because I left the milk for so long. Ok. I washed the magic tap (which was a pain to get rid of the sour milk smell. Use vinegar. Not bleach!)

I stuck it in a new half gallon of milk and two days later it tastes like it's going sour again.

Two. Days. :(

I'm going to just get a drink dispenser like I have for my water and call to a day. I didn't mind the batteries or the leakage or the pain to clean but it's going through milk faster than my family and that's no beuno. I wish they'd make a note that it's not appropriate for milk which would be the main use besides juice I guess.

The item took almost 3 weeks to be delivered. While it did fall within the window that the manufacturer provided (nearly 60 days) the wait was far longer than I would have expected. When we got the 2-pack we put it to use immediately. Initial review was great - the pump was strong, worked well and was easy to use. Then, in the middle of the 2nd jug of milk it failed. Moved on to pump #2, same experience. Got through about 2 gallons of liquid and that one failed as well. I would NOT recommend this product. If you do buy it save the damaged units so you can send back.

Milk lasts a long time and no mess!

I bought 2 over a year ago...I was tired of cleaning up those dried milk sprinkles that fall off the milk bottle onto the glass refrigerator shelves not too mention the dried drool from pouring...I don't have little children...just a big child, I call husband...I am grateful for it and my husband loves it. One of the 2 originals is still in service with the same batteries, one died...the neck got all wobbley...and wouldn't work...as my husband now insists that I install it on any new milk bottles, I think he may have tried to "force" it on the milk bottles vs. installing it as you should which is quite simple...I bought 2 so that you could put a fresh one in each time you opened a bottle...and my husband would put the "dirty" one in the sink and tell me or if I was not around, he would fill a glass with water and sit it upright in there...I would run hot water in the glass while allowing the unit to continually dispense the water...when I had time, I would run white vinegar water through the unit but I am not sure that it made any difference...with the demise of the one unit, I just purchased 2 new ones...one other thing, our gallons of milk last a long time (longest was a month when we were gone on vacation)...that is quite impressive!

Whoever invented this product is brilliant! It's perfect for filling cereal bowls, milk in coffee, anything to be honest! I love that it's so simple and easy to use. The top can fit on different size jugs. The only downside is that it leaks. Whenever my refrigerator opens and closes, a bit leaks out feom the spout. I have to keep a paper towel inside the door to catch the milk. And while it's fairly easy to clean, if you leave it long enough to dry before you clean it, it's really difficult to remove the solidified bits within the tube. Four stars for this one!

Oh, and if you store it in a drawer, make sure to remove the batteries so if something presses the trigger you don't spend half a day wondering where the heck that sound is coming from. ;)

Will give great service but, short lived.

I've had this unit for about 3 yrs. It has given good service to date. Over the past few weeks it has not wanted to turn on. Should mention it has been operating in bottled water only. Long story short, we did some disassembly of the unit and found the silicon seal to isolate the motor from the liquid failed. The water got into the motor which in turn caused the motor to stop working. What was more disturbing was the evidence of rust in the bullet housing around the motor. This indicates that over some period of time liquid, in my case bottled water only, was seeping through to the motor compartment. We really love this product but, these findings leave us very skeptical as to what we were ingesting.

As a engineer I would have to say the motor compartment water proofing seal is inadaquate and not a home repairable fix.

This product has worked well for us. It has bought me and my wife some extra time to sleep on weekend mornings because our little kids can get their own cereal and milk in the mornings when they wake up soooo early :). We also bought a side by side cereal dispenser. I only give it four stars because we had to return one that we bought because it stopped working after about a month, but because it could have been due to me getting the top part of it wet which could have messed up the operating mechanism where the battery goes, I decided that I would give it at least a four. The newer one that we currently have and have had for some time now has been working perfectly. There is sometimes a little drip after dispensing the milk and the dispensing lever presses easily, so be careful. However, I discovered that there is a little turn off button next to the lever that disengages the lever so that milk will not dispense if the lever is accidently press. For the price and the extra snoozing time alone, this little thing has been priceless. :)

I've never been so excited about an as seen on TV type product since the Snuggie. This is the same level of awesome as that.

It's easy to use and easy to put onto our milk. We go through milk really fast as our 3 year old loves milk. Not only can my toddler help get his own milk (I take the lid off his sippy cup and put it back on for him) but I don't have to take the milk out of the fridge, so no more accidentally leaving it out in the counter overnight! We will use this until we break it lol and then I will get another one.

They worked great the first couple of days, then it seemed as though the batteries ran out, again only days after first opening it. We use good quality name brand batteries so I found it strange that it was already slowing down. Either way, I changed the batteries and it still didn't work properly. I had one for water and one for milk, and the water dispenser seemed to die a slow death first, then the milk dispenser died next. We used them for about 3 weeks when I got tired of changing the batteries and realized it wasn't the batteries, it was the product. It was easy to clean, I used a large cup of hot water to run through, and never had a problem with mold. I was excited to use these for my kids ages 4 and 6, but they just didn't last longer than 3 weeks so it was a waste of money.

Not a good purchase if you like spoiled milk

This would be an amazing product if after a few days of me buying milk it wasn't spoiling I run into that two different times since I have brought the product and started to use it on milk has been spoiling I originally brought the product so my daughter could get milk and cereal as she pleases but we're running into the fact that the vacuum lock still really doesn't vacuum lock the way it's supposed to our milk has been spoiling a week prior to when it's supposed to just like today I actually drink a cup of spoiled milk because I wasn't aware since it was dated for October 18th to be spoiled and today is only the 12th.
