Well made capsule is superior to plastic Chinese versions available for a fraction of the price. Wor

I had been using a simple plastic capsule bought on ebay for about $1. This is better:
* There is a trick to folding and placement of a bill which is not intuitive, but seen when your unit arrives.
* There is a little metal piece provided that is very, very helpful in achieving success.
* The plastic box unit comes in is NOT MERE MARKETING: 1" deep; 2 1/2" wide at bottom (most narrow); 4 1/2" tall--said space extending beyond the "O" seal; sturdy plastic holder so that box can be attached to things, if desired.

I find the 2017 version of this capsule to be stronger, and better built than my $1 plastic unit. I find none of the defects reported by earlier users of this product. I have pulled, and stretched, and hit, and finagled it every way I can and I am convinced it is secure.

I found it difficult to roll up a twenty USD in it but squashed in in there. Then i got the idea to put some aspirin in there for a headache or heart attack aid till ambulance arrives . Im 67 and you got to be thinking of these things. That's worth more than a twenty.

This is a quality capsule. The threads are well made, operate smoothly. O Ring seals good and doesn't seem to get damaged opening and closing it many times, unlike cheap ones. I actually use it to keep 3 pills, so I always have one in case I forget. They are a little larger than a full size aspirin, and just fit. They stay dry. My only complaint is with the attachment hole which is too small to add to an existing double key ring with keys and then put in my pocket it won't lay sideways with the keys because the hole is just a bit larger than the ring - would be fine in a purse. It probably works if you use it with just one ring and just a couple keys. I tried to put a cable type ring thru it to put on the key ring, but the hole was too small.

Great little product.

Very durable and versatile. It is able to handle the abuse of being on my keys and most people think it is my pill case for my medication. The false assumption of people is what makes this so great. Majority of people will see it as their misperceptions and reduce the chance they will go after this. I don't like to carry cash because usually, most robbers will check your wallets first. But it does hold my $20 bill in case I need some cash to cover something in an emergency, a very minor one. But for anyone wanting to conceal some cash, this holds any singe monetary bill in it and keep in mind that you will have to work on folding and rolling technique to get it perfect. Once you do, it's all good. It is pretty waterproof as well, another added benefit. I have 2 that me and the wife use and we both love it.

NEED, not want

Don't know why people are complaining about US currency not fitting in here. If you follow the instructions properly, it will fit 1 (ONE) bill, wrapped around the included piece that helps you wrap the bill. I would highly recommend using it, since it makes it easier to pull the bill out once its in there. I actually ordered the black one, and when I got it, the package said black, but inside the package was a silver one. I have heard of this happening to people before, but i actually like the color so I'm going to keep it. I think this is the perfect way to carry emergency money on you just in case you ever need it. On a side note, it also comes in a cool waterproof case. Very neat idea and awesome product.

Perfect AND comes with a waterproof case!

Easily fit american currency of any denomination once folded and rolled up. However, It will only fit one bill, maybe two if you're crafty but I was only able to fit one.

Comes with a small metal tool to help you roll up and insert the bill into the container. Another plus Is that it comes with a waterproof plastic container, its super nifty and I use it to keep things (first aid items) dry while backpacking. I purchased the pocket lighter as well in order to have another one of those plastic containers.

Item is the same length as a standard key. I have included an image that compares the size of the cash stash to the fire stash. The cash stash is shorter but the same diameter and Much lighter.

It is a great idea, but the threads stripped too easily on mine
by Marshall Davis (3 out of 5 stars)

I like how compact and portable it is. I bought two of these. My wife has had no issue from hers (the grey model). I purchased the black model for myself and it was stripped the first time it was used, and my wife put the money in mine, so it isn't as if I had "strong-armed" the threads. I think it was likely a defect where the threads were cut too thin or the metal was too thin at the threads. Either way, it comes apart without unscrewing it. I was walking in a parking lot and the bottom fell off with the money inside. I saw it happen, so was able to collect it and did not lose anything. I have averaged my ratings based on mine and my wife's experiences. If this was corrected, I would adjust my review.

There when you need it

Tougher than any pill capsules I've used for stashes in the past, this thing is almost unnoticable on my key ring. Also, this thing DOES hold 2 US bills....
...and here is how...

You will not need the provided clip for this.
1: Take 2 new crisp bills and, make a 1 inch fold on both, lengthwise. Then, fold over the remaining lip, leaving you with 2 strips, 1 inch wide.
2: Place the 2 bills together with the lips inward but at opposite edges and fold in half so that you have 1 strip 1 inch wide x half the bill length.
3: Make a small fold at the loose end to give yourself something to grip and roll, tightly, toward the middle fold.

This may take a try or two to get the technique down, but it works. I carry a $100 and a $20. The 100 for emergencies and the 20 for when I go to work without my wallet and don't feel like skipping lunch.

One thing I have noticed about this capsule is an appearent heat shielding property...So far, that extra C note is showing no signs of burning a hole in my pocket.

Poorly Designed Product

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! This keyring capsule is masquerading as a premium product however you are far more likely to find it in a 99 cent store. First day, the cap pops off on my front lawn sending the contents everywhere.

The case is so thin that the threads are not thick enough to securely hold the capsule together. With the slightest pressure, the capsule breaks apart. What's the point of a storage capsule if it can't hold the contents securely.

Waste of money and time.

Definitely worth it.

I had this item since June 2017, here are my thoughts:

Pros:
1. Very compact. I have a bill tightly folded and rolled up and it's a very good and snug fit. The small size takes up very little room in my pocket.
2. Very affordable, buy more than one to have extras on hand.

Cons:
1. I recommend using blue loc-tite to secure the container so it doesn't come loose. I had several incidents where the cap unscrewed itself from the movement in my pants pocket.
2. The hole where the key ring goes through does start to elongate due to wear. It's made of aluminum so this is expected.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and I recommend this to anyone who is looking who is interested.
