Breaks and Keter won't honor the warranty

Purchased this product to use on our patio as it seemed perfect for our space. The center tube that supports the top to the base cracked making the table unusable. Contacted customer service who asked for original receipts and photos of defect. Sent both and then didn't hear back for 3 months. Was offered a fractional refund instead of a replacement. I was told this was all they could do. Sad that Keter cannot make reliable products and even worse that they won't honor their warranty. I would definitely look elsewhere for a better product and a more honest company who stands behind their products.

Feel A Little Mislead By The Picture

First let me say that this is a very nice addition to our outdoor decor. It's a fun item. Some reviewers complained of the top not holding drinks when in the open position. You have to twist the locking mechanism in place at the base of the pole, so that may have been something that was missed. I have set 2 full 2-liters of soda on the open lid (As a test) and it stays in place.

My major complaint is the top of the unit. The picture does a great job of hiding the round silver piece of hardware at the top. I was disappointed when I pulled it out of the box. It's a bit of an eyesore. I plan to outline the piece with painter's tape and spray-paint it with outdoor Rustoleum in oil-rubbed bronze to make it a little more attractive. Alternatively, I suppose you can set something on top of it to hide it when company arrives.

I've attached a couple of photos to this review so prospective buyers know what to fully expect.

EDIT: I've noticed that sometime after I posted my review, the stock photos have been changed and the silver piece is now visible in some of those photos. Maybe because of this review? All the previous stock photos they had were definitely intentionally hiding that piece.

Looks bad after one summer, steer clear from KETER products.

After one summer the top looked terrible! I contacted KETER customer service based on their own description noting "Being weather-resistant, this piece can be left outside without worrying about rust, decay and other weather-related damage.". Their response was to put WD40 on it. I would never purchase a KETER product, as they don't stand behind their products!

Works well--deceptively deep (took nearly 30 lbs. of ice to fill it!). Drain plug is a pain: it doesn't pull out easy and the entire drain assembly comes out when pulling on the plug top. Plug should have a string to allow user to pull it without having to dig down to find it (suggestion to buyers: add a mark of some sort higher along the side to show you where the plug is to reduce your time digging into the ice).

Would recommend a cover, especially in areas where there is a lot of tree pollen (the Rattan texture grabs a lot of dirt/pollen).

I love this thing! If you twist the inside piece (as directed) it stays up just fine. Don't let other people's reviews deter you from buying this. I get so many compliments on it :) The plug on the inside makes it easy to drain and the inside is large enough for many items. See attached photos (sorry, it had just rained).

Looks fantastic for the price point. I wanted a makeshift lounge area to relax in while grilling at my beach home and since it's just a garage I wasn't looking to spend an arm and leg. Put together, this looks like I paid 5x what I did.

I have received a lot of complements regarding this little cooler/table and for the price I'm very happy with the purchase. We were looking for a smaller table to compliment our larger patio set. After our last party I think I may have made a couple of sales for the Keter brand. The cooler kept drinks cold for quite a while especially considering we didn't put much ice in it. The standing feature is nice too. Just lock the table in the open position and you can use it for a tall drink stand which works well. If your looking a little table for a patio set OR for a little patio cooler this product can take care of both needs.

For all of the people who purchased this and can't get the top to stay in the locked upward position, there is a screw nut/ring on the bottom portion of the pole in the center of the table underneath it. Be sure to lift the top and it's upward position and with your other hand spin the nut on the post in the clockwise position until it clicks. It's about one revolution. I assumed that to keep the top up you needed to spin the lid but that is not the case. You need to twist the locking nut in the center of the poor underneath the lid. To lower the top, spin the locking nut in the opposite direction. This unlocks the bed and allows it to telescope down be sure to lift the top and it's upward position and with your other hand spin the nut on the post in the clockwise position until it clicks.
