I got this after my guitar instructor told me about it. I have neuropathy in my right hand and only about 3/5 usage. Using this has allowed me to build up the strength in my hand again. Unlike the squeeze-only style hand exercise gadgets, this one works both sides of your forearm, giving you a more complete workout.

Large Hands Beware

The good: It will give your hand a decent workout. And you don't need a lot of hand strength to start using it, but you can really increase the resistance based on how hard you squeeze or how far you stretch.
The not so good: I have fairly small fingers, but I find the rings to be uncomfortably tight. They begin to cut off my circulation after about a minute, causing me to stop using the Handmaster much sooner than I'd like. Every time I use it I find myself wondering why the manufacturer made the rings so tight.
Great As a Climbing Warm-Up

I use this before and after I go climbing, and it's great as a warm-up/down device. The build could be a little bit better, as the ball now has a split in it, and the finger rings seems like they will probably tear sooner than later. Also, it would be nice if they put in a stopper for the thumb loop, since it will pull straight through if you don't remove your fingers first.

Bought this for my son - he loves it - though he does keep pulling the middle part out that you put your fingers in... I guess it is good that they send a replacement in case he loses it
