Product Description

You are the youngest Captain in Starfleet. Your Lieutenants gather around you, desperately vying for your approval and catering to your every whim. They go on Away Missions to distant worlds and return with strange new foods. (Rigelian cabbage? Yuck!) Then there was that Red Shirt that your Chief Momular Officer called 'Uncle Joe.' Gosh, wasn't he annoying with the relentless games of Got Your Nose? You couldn't be more pleased that he never returned (and that you got your nose back before he left).

Galloping around the cosmos is a game for the young and you have your whole youth ahead of you. Take your seat in your Inflatable Captain's Chair, assemble your bridge crew, and start exploring. Invented at ThinkGeek, this chair is suitable for wee geeks aged 3 to small adult, or up to about 120 pounds. The arms are printed with all sorts of buttons and and lights to encourage imagination play, including setting Red or Yellow Alerts or jettisoning the pod. All that's missing is the most adorable Captain in the quadrant - your kid!

The Size in The Picture is Misleading! Very Disappointed!
by JDogg (2 out of 5 stars)

I had bought this for my husband as a surprise for his 40th birthday and I was so excited to get this chair in and get it blown up. Well, fast forward, when it was blown up it was about half the size of how they make it look in the promo pics and could only fit my 6 year old daughter. I am sending it back because it's useless for the purpose intended. They need to clarify that this is ONLY for a child.

Perfect gift!

I gave this to a friend who was moving to New York. He was puling up roots and moving his whole life to this new location. This was the perfect gift for a geek friend who was "boldly going" to a new life. I think it would be perfect for student's dorm rooms or any other "new frontier."

Fantastic Chair
by Spam Sandwich (5 out of 5 stars)

Got my son into Star Trek Voyager, and this chair just makes watching STV so much more fun for him. Its very durable, wouldnt let an adult sit on it though. Not sure if it can support a full sized male. I sat on it and it felt like it was gonna pop. But it stands up to my 11 year old sons playing in it.

Wish this was for adults. Now I will be sending it back as I bought it for my husband. All is well in the world

If you're a trekkie, you'll love it!
by Daniela Martin (5 out of 5 stars)

I absolutely love it. The only thing you need to keep in mind before placing the order is that is a small chair. I'm a 25 year old girl (girl?) and it fits perfect. My weight is 52 kg, so do the math!

Great to have, hard to blow
by Laura Sirikul (4 out of 5 stars)

So I got this as a gift and honestly, as a Trekkie - it's AWESOME.

Please note... the instructions on how to blow up this chair sounds like instructions to oral sex.

You pull it out and you have this big plastic mound to blow up. There are three blow up holes... My friend and I each took a hole and blew... It was REALLY hard to blow. You really need to squeeze the bottom and then blow...

It took forever to fill up. Make sure you open up the chair well to allow air to flow everywhere. We didn't have a air pump and it doesn't come with it... but it was great. We blew up the three holes and BAM! Captain's chair in my living room.

MAINTENANCE:

It comes with tape to seal any damages if you puncture it.

LOOK:

They have fake buttons for you to use. The chair is actually really cool.

FEELING:

It's actually comfortable. I am in the 120-130s weight range and I was fine sitting on it. My fiance is in the 160s-170s and he was fine on it. It's really comfy.

OVERALL:

It's a great gift for a housewarming for Trekkies and just a fun gift overall for dorm Trekkies.

Got it for my son. He loves it. Im getting him into star trek voyager, which ended before he was even born... I feel old now. Anyway, its a great chair, takes abit to fill up manually though, couldnt find the air pump. Only grip is that it leans forward a little.
